The banana tackled the Verizon Wireless gorilla, then fled on foot with four males. According to the Verizon store manager, the gorilla was not injured, just embarrassed. (Fox8.com | Cleveland.com)

"Calling all cars, calling all cars. Be on the lookout for a banana wanted in connection with an assault on a gorilla. The banana was last seen heading south on Pearl Rd with an apple and a bunch of grapes. Suspect is reportedly a member of the Fruit of the Loom gang."

There was a guy like that at Auburn. He would just run onto the basketball court yelling, "I'm a banana! I'm a banana!" It was funny.

Why is Verizon represented by a gorilla? "We're, big, we're bad, we're hairy"?

Are they certain it was a banana and not a plantain??? Did anyone get a close enough look to be sure? I'm thinking they might have made a snap judgement and assumption. They could be chasing the wrong fruit. Fruit-profiling is something that should just not be tolerated in our country, imo. Just because something is long and yellow and has a peel does NOT necessarily make it a banana. *wonders what this world is coming to*
