Who's the more foolish: The fool who loses a $1.35 million painting, or the fool who gave it to him the first place?

What a lame story to cover up a theft.

Yep. The story is probably a lie. On the other hand, a mouthy drunk at a hotel bar loudly bragging about the $1.35 mil painting he left behind the desk might have given another drunk a bright idea.
Overall, however, I agree with the Daily News commenter who opines that the painting is for sale in the Bronx for about $200.

Hey, Phranq! I think the real fool is whoever gave up that much money for a $25.00 piece of canvas and oil paint.

A fool and her money are soon parted.
I like that painting, and I hope it is recovered so she can buy a bra.

There are companies that will do this sort of thing for you. You don't have to have your drunk, idiot 'friend' take care of it.
So much of that story is fishy.
