Woman gets nine months of jail for planting a rat in her lunch
She was arrested after the restaurant's insurance investigators sent the rodent in for testing and determined that it was a domestic white rat that had been cooked in a microwave. The restaurant doesn't use microwaves. (Appleton Post-Crescent)
Man this lady does sound kind of unhinged. I hope she was sane enough to at least kill the poor rat before she microwaved it.

Now that she's going to prison, she'll be getting rats in her food for real.

She must be REALLY crazy to ignore the fact that microwaved rat is too chewy for consumption. I suggest a slow simmer in a wine sauce or fried with butter and garlic.

"Debbie Miller will spend nine months in jail and four years on probation instead of collecting hush money after planting a rat in her lunch."
On Wisconsin (or however the song goes)....
It's only April 2010, but here's hoping Wisconsin wins OS&RR 2010.

They should have thrown in animal cruelty charges as well, poor little rodent! Death by microwave is, indeed, heinous.

Don't knock it 'till you try it.

I agree EN1. I find microwaved rat to be too dry.

I smell a rat in this story.

Her story may have worked if she chose a restaurant that actually serves rat, like Hardees or Denny's.
