Here is today's call to 911 that didn't have to be made
A 15-year-old boy called 911 after his parents took away his Xbox as punishment. The kid hung up the phone, but police drove to his house to hear his complaint.

Every time he calls 911, take away another toy or perk until his room is down to the bare walls.

LOL! I bet the policeman struggled to keep a straight face when he informed the kid that no, his parents were within the law and did not violate his constitutional rights when they deprived him of his Xbox.
Hopefully the officer followed up with a stern lecture about appropriate use of the 911 system. Although it could be that all police calls in their town get routed through the 911 system, regardless of whether they're for actual incidents -- that's how it works where I live.

I found the story linked at the bottom about an altercation coinciding with homosexual prostitution to be more interesting, but it lacks details.

A really scary mug shot is at the bottom of the page, too.
