Man charged with frequently peeing in IRS building elevator
The 55-year-old man "stated that he did it because he felt he could get away with it," says an affidavit. But a surveillance camera caught him in the act.

The guy had to go, could you think of a better place?
How many of us would like to do the same? Its the IRS, they do it to us all the time!

Let the inevitable "other things I'd like to do to the IRS" rants begin!

It could have been done better - he could have taken a dump in the corner of the elevator car.

Maybe I'm ridiculously paranoid, but I'm surprised at how many people are surprised there are hidden cameras in government buildings.
When it comes to the gubmint, never assume your privacy is being respected.
As for urinating in public, I don't care how much you hate a person or entity, that's just rude.

he should have taken a dump right in the middle. i mean, he just couldn't commit.

Cameras in elevators are common in many buildings, at least if you believe all the TV cop shows.

@Soo,
I'm not a big fan of the government, especially the IRS, I prep tax returns as a side job, so I get a lot of firsthand looks at their government-strength stupid.
But still, cameras in government buildings isn't exactly an invasion of privacy, it's just security. Cameras in my kitchen? Thats an invasion. Cameras in my bedroom? That's an invasion (or good clean home entertainment ... or a new season of Fear Factor ...)
But cameras in my Secretary of State's office? Or my IRS building? Or the back stairwell of the courthouse parking garage, between the third and fourth levels?
That's just normal.

Congress makes the tax laws. He is aiming at the wrong entity.

EEeeeewwwww! Gross! Disgusting! Ick! Ick! Ick! YUCK!!!
He actually went in to the IRS building? That gives me the heebie-jeebies!

The video will be a web sensation when it's leaked.
(Pun intended.)

@ Tank: that was my point exactly. Too many people think that they have 100% right to privacy, and are shocked to discover there are cameras in public places.
I should have added that there should never be an expectation of "privacy" in "public," otherwise, bathroom escapes inside the stalls wouldn't get a couple arrested. It's relatively private, albeit inside a public facility. I'm a bit lethargic today.
This guy's still a ginormous buttnugget.

shoulda put tape over the camera lens....

...he did it because he felt he could get away with it...
There are days when it comes to me that I was never really cut out to be a criminal. I could fill a notebook the size of the Los Angelas phone directory with illegal stuff I could get away with BUT I've never once felt the urge to oh...
tie a giraffe to a telephone pole
fall asleep under a hairdryer
serve butter substitutes in prison
never. Maybe I just don't have what it takes.
Posted by: nellagain | Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:25 AM
Actually, if I was going to do the same thing in an elevator that the IRS does to me, I'd have to have my man with me.
Tank's right - any gov't building is going to have surveillance cameras. This guy was an asshat if he thought no one saw him.

PEE IN AN ELEVATOR! PEEING IT UP WHEN I'M GOING DOWN!
Posted by: twerp | Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 03:14 PM
I just don't see the problem here...
Posted by: R. Kelly | Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 04:19 PM
Stupid! What you do is pee in a cup and then empty the cup. Much harder to get caught that way.
