Jad Holmes is accused of placing two online orders, for $19,880 and $17,372, through a Michigan-based company. The order -- of over 100,000 lollipops and candy bars -- was to be shipped to his address and billed to Middletown High School. He was arrested after receiving the first order.

I think I saw this once on Saved By The Bell. Only in that one, Mr. Belding ran in and say "Hey, hey, hey what is going on here?" Then Zack smiled wryly at the camera and wacky hijinks ensued. No one went to jail.

This kid doesn't have the brains to be a successful criminal. His plan lacked an exit strategy.

What an upstanding young citizen. I like how he's also being charged, in an unrelated incident, for "theft of drugs".
Seriously though, what the hell was he going to do with all that candy?

I'm envisioning a squad of dentists kicking down his door with guns drawn...

He must have been going to a HELLA rave party!
This is ironic, because when I lived in OH, as I've mentioned several times, I worked for a company near Middletown, and we produced items that everyone's little snowflakes sell for fundraisers (such as the aforementioned suckers). As good luck would have it, that company no longer exists--it sucked.

Gotta admire the kid...he's got balls to try and pull something like this off. how the hell do people think of this sh*t? as a teen I'd have never considered something along these lines...but if I would've I think I'd have invested in something more entertaining than candy...

Actually, RMM, no pun was intended, but I wish it had been--VERY appropriate--trust me!
