The Minnesota man has a home valued at nearly $6 million, yet he once sued a former employee over $44.31. He also sued a one-time housemate for, among other things, not returning some pillows and a coat rack. His big court battle is yet to come, though; he's been charged with tax evasion. "...evading income taxes through an ATM machine allegedly rigged to pump about $2 million into a secret bank account over several years. IRS investigators say Kladek used the money to buy investments and help build his expensive home."
Can someone explain this to me?

(Exodus 20:3 KJV) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
(Exodus 20:4 KJV) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
(Exodus 20:5 KJV) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
(Exodus 20:6 KJV) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
(Exodus 20:7 KJV) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
(Exodus 20:8 KJV) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(Exodus 20:9 KJV) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
(Exodus 20:10 KJV) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
(Exodus 20:11 KJV) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
(Exodus 20:12 KJV) Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
(Exodus 20:13 KJV) Thou shalt not kill.
(Exodus 20:14 KJV) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
(Exodus 20:15 KJV) Thou shalt not steal.
(Exodus 20:16 KJV) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
(Exodus 20:17 KJV) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
(Psalms 32:1 KJV) Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
(Psalms 32:2 KJV) Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
(Psalms 32:3 KJV) When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
(Psalms 32:4 KJV) For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
(Psalms 32:5 KJV) I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
(Psalms 32:6 KJV) For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
Woah man, sorry. I don't know what happened. That shellie chick from yesterday must have really gotten to me. Hallelujah!

As for the strip club owner, he sounds like a total assbag. Hopefully the IRS will rake him over the coals.

The story is almost laughably short on facts concerning his present predicament. There's lots in there about people he has sued and townfold he has rubbed the wrong way, but how he was using the ATM to divert funds to some secret bank account they give no clues. Was he using it as a private ATM and charging huge fees to use it? I suppose with guys desperate for cash for lap dances it might add up after awhile. I'm not even certain that's a crime. If he was depositing funds that people put into it into his own account, that's clearly a crime, but just how long could such a scam go on? And who goes to a strip club to make deposits? Of money I mean. Into a bank.

RE the ATM machine, if you read the reader comments someone explained it. When someone makes a withdrawl from the ATM money is transfered from the persons account to an account used to replenish the atm. The strip club dude was diverting the money to a secredt account and replenishing the ATM account with money he skimmed from the club. He wasn;t really "stealing' from the atm, but rather laundering money to avoid paying taxes. If that made sense . . .

Sure. ATM machines charge transaction fees. Machines in sketchier locations charge higher transaction fees. These fees are split between the ATM machine owner and the bank.
Kladek had this machine deposit his share of the fees into an account that he told no-one about, including the IRS. Proceeds from the ATM fees, though, are legit income that needs to be reported and taxed.
An ATM with high fees in a strip club, where drunken men are in need of cash money to show their appreciation for the dancers, would be a gold mine.

Okay, so he has a valuable home and yet doesn't like being chiseled or ripped off and even has gone so far as to go after people who've stolen from or tried to cheat him.. The bastard.

G-Man...please stop channeling Shellie.
The Strip Club owner is a "right fighter". He just has to WIN at everything...especially when he thinks someone one-upped him...even for $4.55.
He will die a lonely and very unhappy man. Maybe we should have Shellie call him?

Thant's what I was thinking. Some of the wealthiest people I know are the absolute cheapest, but that doesn't make them bad people, just greedy. So the guy was scamming the IRS. How many people wouldn't if they thought they could get away with it? Really?

Kelly, I totally would.

For those of you unfamiliar with the content of the old testament, Levitcus is the book with all the damn rule in it. And boy has it got rules, lotsa rule. Did I say they have a alot rules, well they do. So many that they are self contradictory and, well weird. And frankly they are grouped kinda strangely.
For example Leviticus 19: Laws concerning molten gods, peace-offerings, scraps of the harvest, fraud, the deaf, blind, elderly, and poor, poisoning the well, hate, sex with slaves, self harm, shaving, prostitution, sabbaths, sorcery, familiars, strangers, and just weights and measure
(Leviticus, Kings, and Judges are the most frequently skipped over books in bible class--which is too bad because Judges has one of the most rocking female characters in the whole bible)
