Police say she went into the woods with a guy while the four kids were found "highly distraught and crying" by a passerby. (Syracuse.com)
Well, that's a new variation on the theme, I must say.

20 year old woman leaves four kids alone that are in her care to have nekkid pictures taken of herself by a guy in a wheelchair.
Nope...nothing weird there.

She must of been a big treat for the mosquitoes.

This story needs a picture.

This woman has 4 kids and she is only 20 and she was having nude pics taken to get back at her boyfriend.
I wonder how much welfare she gets a month.

I don't think the kids were hers. I thought so at first but had to re-read after it said that police took the children back to their mother's home. It never said the kids were hers. So at least they have a chance, I guess.
Posted by: Brooke | Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 04:54 PM
Thank you Brooke for pointing it out. I must have been in shock over the thought of this woman having that many kids at such a young age and my brain translated it into that the kids where taken to "her" mothers home, as in the grandma.

How can anyone disagree with me that she needs to be sterilized?
Posted by: Farmer Bob | Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 05:38 PM
I hope she had Deep Woods Off! with her. Then again, I don't. She is worthy of some misery for her stupidity.
Posted by: Swangirl | Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 06:04 PM
Sterilized? That is going way too far. These kids are probably in the bottom 10% of kids in the USA in terms of quality upbringing, but I promise they're still in the top 20% worldwide because I'm sure they still have at least *some* access to food, clean water, and health care. More than you can say for lots of kids in Sierra Leone, Haiti, or India.

give me a break, I think she was posing for her big dumbass award. Why would you take 4 kids with you if your planning to poise nude, when I take my kids to the park I am lucky to stop for a drink of water, much less a naked poise.

I guess it's hard to find good help these days. Wonder where the kid's mom found this babysitter? It's frightening to think about what could be going on with your kids when your not around. Maureen
Posted by: Maureen | Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 07:37 PM
That babysitter is going to have to start thinking about other career options. That's going to be hard considering her tiny brain.

This story is only further proof that today's kids aren't reading enough or being read to enough. When I was a kid, I would've known that all I'd have to do is wander through the woods for a little while and I'd come across a magical house made of gingerbread and gumdrops, and all would be well. Ok, at least until the old lady who lived in the house tried to stuff me in an oven. But until then, it'd be peaches and cream.
Kids today... [shaking head sadly]

another 'slam the disabled story' from a goof that buys overly priced bread at a chain store/eatery. have another latte.

If you knew what a turd syracuse is as a city you'd realize that a story like this is actually a "feel good" story since nobody got shot or stabbed.

One word: Woodticks. You'd be amazed at the places they crawl in to!

4 kids by the age of 20, well that shows us she's an upstanding and intelligent citizen. The only smart thing she did was ask a guy in a wheel chair to take the pictures, at least that way he probably wasn't going to attack and rape her. How is it a girl of 20 with 4 kids can even FIND a boyfriend???!!!
Posted by: cherie | Friday, July 20, 2007 at 06:03 AM
Cherie, with all due respect, the article and several of the above posts indicate it wasn't her kids.
Its clear the responsible thing to do would be to bring the kids with her.

ahh, well, i'm working, i just woke up and I've had no coffee today. thanks for setting me straight sesamecake!

WOW, looks like it is too early in the a.m., the kids WEREN'T HERS! Is everyone in weekend mode already?!
Posted by: jimmyjohn | Friday, July 20, 2007 at 06:35 AM
You just can't get good help these days -- babysitters or editors!
Posted by: mcduff | Friday, July 20, 2007 at 06:51 AM
According to Mblunt at least she was poised while she was nude. I would hate to think that she was awkward or uncomfortable.
Posted by: Kghoti | Friday, July 20, 2007 at 07:03 AM
She should have had the kids take the pictures! Then, she could save money, supervise the kids, and give them some valuable skills.
Posted by: Sigh | Friday, July 20, 2007 at 07:30 AM
She wasn't related to the kids. I live 80 miles west of Syracuse, and this made my paper...

kghoti, lol thanks for pointing that out ....
Posted by: mblunt | Friday, July 20, 2007 at 03:53 PM
Axel--how is he "slamming the disabled"? The fact that the guy who took her nudie pics was in a wheelchair is not really all that important to this story.
Out of curiosity...if you are paralyzed from the waist down, can you still get it up? (just curiosity, I'm not insinuating that the guy was paralyzed)
Posted by: Brooke | Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 02:13 PM
Brooke:
Some can, some can't. I think it's a matter of luck, really.
For the average male, the "waist" is 8-10 inches of body that is often included in the description of the malfunction just because it's faster to generalize. This area isn't always affected by an injury that affects the legs.
