Kimberly Chapman is an extra in the Spike TV series, "The Kill Point," but she didn't have permission to leave the set and go to court while wearing her $500 uniform with a badge and plastic gun holster.(Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

I might have given the woman the benefit of the doubt with the he said/she said over whether she represented herself in court as a police officer assigned to the case. Though I woul
Any such potential credibility goes out the window when the same woman, through her attorney apparently claims the court appearance slipped her mind as she went into work.
I worked as an extra for a while. It is not a routine 9 to 5 job by any stretch of the imagination. So "minutes after arriving at work" she;d still be filling out paperwork or at the most waiting in line for wardrobe. She knew exactly what she was trying to do, what exactly *that* was, is beyond me, but it was fraud and she got caught.

Talk about being in character!
To paraphrase Robert Young (Marcus Welby, MD): "I'm not a police officer, but I play one on TV."
Too bad she didn't (wouldn't?) remember that.

I know a guy that was such a great improv actor that he sometimes didn't know when he was in character. One time we went into a bar after a long day of shooting. He reached into his coat and pulled out an imaginary flask and tried to drink from it. He didn't know it wasn't real until he realized he wasn't tasting it. Though I suspect Kimberly was not so much a great actress as just incredibly stupid.

If the cops dressed as human beings for Halloween, could they be arrested for false advertising?
Did she tell anyone she was a real television actor?
Did she even try to act?
