Women find hidden camera in apartment, fear the worst

Vanya Samokovareva, 22, and Ralitsa Dzhambazova, 23 -- Bulgarian women living in Florida (photo here) -- called deputies to say they found hidden cameras in their apartment.They're now afraid that their every move — from sleeping to showering — may have been broadcast on the Internet. Anyone see such footage?

Man says he found a bloody bandage in his Pizza Hut pie

"It felt kind of like biting into a folded-up piece of plastic," says Ken Wieczerza. "I can't think of anything more disgusting than chewing on a bandage, other than a body part. Fortunately, I didn't swallow it." He says the revolting find was in his large supreme pizza with pepperoni, ham, green peppers and other toppings. The 52-year-old man tells a reporter:

"I'm not out to hurt the restaurant, the manager or the employees and that's why I waited so long to take it to this level after I tried to keep it low-key and private."

Walmart says woman told to cover up because of customer gripes

Walmart says Sandy McMillin was asked to put a shirt on over her bikini top because of complaints from other shoppers, not because of any concerns over health regulations. McMillin, who is considering a lawsuit, believes she was asked to put on a shirt over her bikini top for two reasons: "Because I’m disabled; and I'm not a skinny, mini miss thing, and I have that middle-age spread."

Union files NLRB complaint, says Hyatt tried to "fry" picketers

Remember the story about a Chicago Hyatt manager turning 10 heat lamps on, amid record temperatures, during an employee demonstration? The workers' union has filed a complaint, which says: "The employer assaulted the employees and tried to fry them by shining heat lamps on them in the middle of what was already a hot, humid day."

Drunk man, brother attack pilot after being ordered off plane

Jonathan Baez "was apparently barely compliant at that point" when he was told to get off the plane. "He was exhibiting symptoms of intoxication. He was not walking well when he went up the aisle." His brother joined him and told the crew that "when you fly to San Juan I will have you killed."

There was a near-riot because of it, and I'd never heard of it before. I must be getting old, or out of touch with popular culture. (Gotta love the planking in front of cops; that's something I do know about.)

Inmate gets money from phone glitch to bond himself out of jail

A jail phone system glitch mistakenly deposited credit into inmate trust accounts for each incomplete call. After four hours of dialing a combination of local, long-distance and international numbers, Larry Stone had accumulated more than $1,250 — enough money to bond out of jail. Others heard about the glitch and exploited it, too, before jail officials caught on.
