OK, this definitely took guts - I see a bright future for this young woman. It may seem rather weird to do this type of social experiment - kind of a 'gentleman's agreement' for teenage women, but I can see the value.

She's a smart, inventive person. She could get some college papers and perhaps even a book out of this experience. Someone should book her for interviews on television.

and her social experiment is ongoing
just look at the comments below the article

I just finished reading both the article and the comments.
I've always thought I was fairly strong in my convictions, but this showed at least two examples people who's strength dwarfs my own.
On the one hand, a teenage girl who's willing to give 1/2 a year of her life to explore and expose the power of stereotypes and rumors, knowing full well that she was also exposing herself to the possibility of ridicule and anger AFTER she revealed the truth behind her 'experiment'.
On the other hand, commenters who are so entrenched in a cynical, bitter world view that they can look at what she's done and say things like:
"Didn't accomplish anything ... Don't understand the purpose really"
or "was she trying to find out if lying is ok under certain circumstances"
or "I wonder in what world this was a good idea"
or "possibly a great prank".
Whether or not you agree with what she did, you cannot dismiss it as purposeless or irrelevant or a 'prank'. If nothing else, she deserves respect. It was a great thing, and done well.

I think this is pretty cool. Tank, I think the people who write the negative comments are the ones who would fall into a negative category of the experiment.
Although this girl's experiment is NOTHING like that movie Borat, I have to point out the fact that the people who are the most critical of that movie are the ones who make themselves look like total jackasses in it.

I can see her on a news show , like the one that sets up fake circumstances ( what would you do) to freak people out.

This would be great fodder for a book. I hope she writes it!

Cool story. She's not a real attention whore. Just a fake attention whore, for science! Also, you've got to give credit to her boyfriend for putting up with this. And her family.
