Mom charged after hot-sauce discipline video airs on "Dr.Phil"
The video -- now circulating on the Internet -- shows the woman punishing her adopted Russian son by putting hot sauce in his mouth and forcing him into a cold shower. (Anchorage Daily News)
I'd like to give her a hot sauce douche and enema, toss her into the snow naked and see what she thinks of that.

They putting the kids in the penalty box now? Also, that kid is gonna kick her ass.

Instead of gargling with hot sauce, Mom should have made him watch every episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" ... or would that have been too heinous a punishment?

A friend told me about this, so I watched it a few weeks ago. The she-b*tch never once hugged the kid, told him she loved him, or even just touched him in a loving manner. So as far as the "I've tried everything" statement, I think she missed the largest part of being a mother.

Personally, I would love to see a federal law passed to forbid adopting from out of the country.
There are thousands of American babies that need parents.

wow talk about child abuse. I think a good whack on the butt would have been better.

Who hasn't wanted to do this to an unobiedient child? Perhaps counseling will work, but as with anyone who needs to change, the change must come from within.
I have always liked the theory pointed out by Bill Cosby: All children are brain damaged.

That is COMPLETELY unacceptable! Poor kid. This person should never be allowed near children ever again.

DR. Phil?
Yeah, like I would believe anything thats on his show.

She's in Anchorage... it isn't like sending the kid to the gulag was going to be a change of scenery.
Don't get me wrong, I am ALL FOR adoption... but maybe this was God's way of telling her not to have children.

That kid will NEVER enjoy buffalo wings.

This is shocking, but you have to wonder about child abuse that is too graphic to show on TV, which we all know happens judging by periodic news stories...

Wow. She needs to be sterilized, seriously.

"There are thousands of American babies that need parents."
Not unless you want to pay 50,000 plus. Not to mention the chances of paying all that money and then having a court take the child from you and given back to the natural parent because they/she/he changes their mind or "got clean."
When we adopted in 2001 (finalized) the ONLY kids we could get through an agency were severely emotionally problematic kids that they recommended NOT being around other kids or children of drug addicted mothers who were severely mentally and/or physically disabled required not just the cost of the adoption but intensive costs for care and medical care.
Now, you can go through a lawyer or some private adoption... if you want to pay even more and then get scammed or worse go to jail for an illegal adoption.
The problem with the American adoption system is so bad I'd never recommend adopting an American child unless you have an airtight adoption, which, will cost you even more.
While 20,000 (which is what it cost us to adopt our son is a lot of money we had a very good facilitator, adoption agency on both sides of the border, and legal representation in both countries to make every thing run smoothly and it would not have taken as long had the political unrest in the country of adoption AND 9/11 happening closing down INS.
Unless you "know" someone close, family friend, family member, or some other personal contact.. adopting in the US is much more difficult than it needs to be and the possibility that you could spend all that money and all that time and invest all that emotion into an adoption and care of a child to have it taken from you some time later because someone changed their mind... Thanks but no thanks. BTW.. Russia and China are two of the most difficult countries to adopt from (Legally). The constraints the respective governments puts on the adoptions are tough and many cannot jump through those political hoops to adopt.
Of the three people we helped get adoptions after ours and becoming involved in the process all three of them tried US adoptions against our advice. All three couples lost over 30,000.00 and a lot of time in change of mind at the last second baby mommas. One tried three times to do a US adoption and finally went out of country because of the BS the US courts and the great financial loss sustained in the process.
Two did get US adoptions. Only took them close to five years and a lot more money and heartbreak along the road to get their children.
Are their success stories to US adoptions? Certainly. But if you want the truth of it... go visit some US adoption sites and talk to the people who have adopted versus the facilitators and agencies. HUGE difference in outcomes.

I should correct that statement to reflect "infants" or under one-year-old.
"the ONLY kids we could get through an agency were severely emotionally problematic kids that they recommended NOT being around other kids or children of drug addicted mothers who were severely mentally and/or physically disabled required not just the cost of the adoption but intensive costs for care and medical care."
Of course the older the kids got... the more there were. But again, most of these kids had severe problems that were/are probably too late to fix by average mothers and fathers. And we wanted an under two-year old.

A friend of mine had fund raisers when she adopted both of her children from the Ukraine. Getting the money together for adoption is possible for Lower-middle class people--although getting there can be a pain in the keister. It is possible though--it just depends on how bad a person wants it to happen.

And what kind of a freak 10 yr old would tape that? She's probably damaged the kid beyond repair.

this is quite a family day

That woman is absolutely disgusting, sickening, and pitiful. There isn't a punishment severe enough for the mental abuse she has inflicted on that child.

I couldn't watch the whole video. I got too angry. Wanted to murder that *bleep*.

At first I was like so what I got hot sause in the mouth for bad words growing up BUT then I watched the video OMG this woman hates herself and does not have the love to raise a child with needs, sick.

this will be a child who grows up to be a mass murderer when he has his own apartment and is taking a nice hot shower and the water heater goes out. alot of movies we watch with guys going out slaughtering hundreds of people always have that hidden childhood flashback. A flashback of being forced to gargle hot sauce and cold showers. I hope his first victim is this witch who is allowed to be his mother. the second victim should be the sister who will undoubtedly grow up to be a c**t like her mother.
