Just give the dude what he wants...if a killer is willing to get on with a death sentence, I don't see the point in delaying it. He's going to die sooner or later anyways--may as well save that tax money (that'll go to feeding/clothing him) to pay off our nation's defecit.

I don't believe him. He made up the story for dramatic effect. Solitary confinement for the rest of his sentence would deter any further escapes.
