"Bear woman" in California faces charge of feeding big game
The 76-year-old woman is accused of turning her home into a bear Shangri-la, buying as much as 6,000 pounds of rolled and cracked corn every month and storing it in a 40-foot long shipping container. (San Francisco Chronicle)
sad story.

"Hey there, Boo-boo, let's go to Mrs. Gravier's house for a nice pic-a-nic basket!"
"But Yogi, Mr. Ranger wouldn't like that ...."

I'm waiting for a story about a crazy lion lady.

About ten miles from my house lived a crazy lion man. He kept African lions in a cage on his trash-strewn property. The lions occasionally got loose and chased cars up and down the nearby U. S. highway. Finally, he was forced somehow, by someone, to get rid of them. He died recently, hit by a train, so neither he nor the lions will be back. This poor delusional California lady needs to live at the home and take up knitting.

If you read the story she's a definite hoarder. Although it doesn't normally involve large dangerous animals. Wow.

Sheila, Second Hand Lions?

I don't know where he obtained the lions, nor where he sent them. It's all true, though. I should add that his obituary in the newspaper referred to him as "the lion man." I never met him, so I actually have no first-hand knowledge that he was crazy, except apparently crazy about lions.
