Woman hopes Nazi flag thief "has a conscience" and returns it
"The Lord will bless them if they just stop thieving," says the flag owner. (She wanted to give it to a war museum.) Note: You may want to turn down your volume; a video accompanies this story.)
(Oklahoman.com)
At a CzechFest a booth operator was selling WWII nick-nacks.
After he assumed my friend and I were "cool" (we look very Aryan), he removed a sliding tray and revealed all this Nazi crap saying "you guys look like you'd be intrested in these"...
There are some people who are really into that stuff.

Sadly, I doubt she'll get the flag back. If someone's low enough to steal it in the first place, they probably won't be moved by emotional appeals.
Her husband's war trophy has most likely been sold and may be in the vault of a collector or flying above an Idaho white supremacist compound.

They stole from an estate sale. In other words, they stole from a dead man. They didn't steal rosary beads or a cross either, they stole a Nazi flag...from a dead man! (From a dead POW, but it's not clear that they knew this.)
With that in mind, I'd say the the perps are too shameless to have a conscience, though I'd gladly be proved wrong.

I don't believe this old bat's story one iota. First of all the guy probably stole the flag in the first place. If it was on the up and up he wouldn't have to smuggle it back to the US. Second, if he wanted to donate it to a museum, why didn't he in the 40 years before his death? Third, I think she intended to sell it at the estate sale. Otherwise it would not have been out there.

How to be a cold assed, lowlife prick with no balls?
Just post this:

Must be wonderful to feel so superior to veterans.
It's usually those who don't have the guts to serve that say shit like that.

My dad had a bunch of old Nazi stuff brought back by his dad and uncles. He recently asked me if I wanted it... hell no. So, he donated it to a museum.
The German stuff means a lot to white supremacists, while WWII vintage Italian or Japanese memorabilia just doesn't have the same connotations associated with it.
I have some old Soviet stuff from my generational nemesis, but I don't need any Nazi rememberances.
Yeah, Phranq, you are right. That flag is flying proudly over a compound in Idaho.

My uncle has a uniform from his "nazi days" hanging downstairs behind a door in his study. Every time we went to Germany to visit him, my mother would forbid us to go down there.... she was thoroughly ashamed and embarrassed by it.
