Oh, god, here we go. She deserves like a free airplane ride somewhere. I hope she gets squat out of her lawsuit.

"Though she used her phone to check the time, she said didn't think of calling for help, she said."
Yeah. I bet.

I wonder if the plane was also on fire, she'd think of calling anyone.
I hope she doesn't damages more than what a round trip ticket to Maui might be. But for sure her lawyer is going for 6 figures.

I once fell asleep on a BART train, woke up when it was at the end of the line and service was shutting down for the night. Silly me, here I thought it was my fault, when I should have sued the transit service for not providing a wake up service.

give her five bucks and send her on her way

Everyone wants to sue based on their on stupidity... accept responsibility and get over it.

Her ambulance chaser is the same g fieger who takes on all these bullshit cases to make money and loses them.
He's the same one who is listed in many of the court tv cases.
He's also the shyster for the family of the little girl the cops murdered in detroit.
He should win them something butt, he typically leeches as much $$ as he can and loses.
DOES GEOFFREY FIEGER SUCK HYUNDAI COCK ON ROUTE 60 WHILE SLEEPING IN AIRPLANES

One time I fell asleep on the city bus and woke up at the end of the rout and all the rest of the buses stopped running. I was five miles from home. The bus driver gave me a transfer for the next day. I should have sued them I could have been millionaire, can I get the number for her Lawyer. Does he work for IOU's. Hey the Mail Man left my mailbox door open, can I sue ?
Sorry I'm just trying to get in on the lawsuit since everyone is robbing banks and jacking ATM machines I thought that this would be more of a secure gig. with the unemployment rate up like it is I got to weigh all my options, know what I mean. If Anybody writes a bad reply to this , I'm going to sue.

i hope this bit@h doesn't get a dime, not even a voucher for a free ride to the airport. Sueing someone over her own stupidity....the American way. Ya know, last time I flew to Bermuda I forgot to pack my shorts....I shoulda sued for millions, you know how uncomfortable it is to swim in polyester pants when it is 98 in the shade? talk about pain and suffering
Posted by: ignorancerunsrampanthere | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 09:31 AM
Is it not your own damn fault? Hellooo YOU fell asleep...do you need your mommy to wake you up? And you had a cell phone and did not think to use it?? Now you are looking to get money from an airline that is prob. broke anyways....who are you trying to fool?
Posted by: ZIMMER | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 09:32 AM
...okay. So she had her phone. She didn't think to, I don't know, SET THE ALARM ON HER PHONE to wake her moronic mouth-breathing self up, so she'd never had to go through this? Oh wait, she walked around staring at it blankly so she could tell time, but didn't think to call for help. Nevermind, too stupid to breed. Please, Farmer Bob, remove this idiot from the gene-pool, please. /facepalm. No excuses. I got my first cell-phone about 5 years ago and first thing I did was play with the stupid thing to learn its functions, and setting an alarm isn't too difficult. I'm on my third phone and know its ins and outs.
Flight Attendants have better things to do with their time than play babysitter to a full-grown, assuming fully-"functional" (term loosely used) adult woman.

I hope she gets prison time. And I hope her lawyer gets the death penalty.
Posted by: Mike | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 09:39 AM
The airline should bill her for the equivalent of a night's stay in a hotel.
Posted by: Notch Johnson | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10:13 AM
Sterilization for her.

Security protocols require staff to sweep the plane to be certain all have disembarked.
Posted by: Richard | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:01 AM
She is not bright, but the staff should have checked for any moron sleeping or waiting for a free ride. I hope she at least got some good stuff off of the first class drink cart!

Farmer Bob, what about her lawyer?
Posted by: Sheila | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 12:09 PM
Must be a heavy sleeper.
Posted by: Phranqlin | Friday, May 28, 2010 at 12:25 PM
She was probably hiding in the potty.
The airline certainly needs to improve their security.

Prisoners who have been falsely imprisoned for decades sometimes get $100.000 a year. That works out to 273.97 a day. Divide that by 24 and it's 11.41 an hour.
So 10 minutes should be worth $1.90. Throw in another dime for pain and suffering and call it 2 bucks. A dollar for ehr and a dollar for Feiger.
case closed.
Oh yeah, if she can't be responsible for herself, ban her from the airline. let her take greyhound back to Detroit.

Again thank all the lawyers. I should sue for reading that story.

How are you,um ,"locked" in a plane that has no locks? Did she know that the instructions on how to get out are in every seatback pocket ? A colossal dumbass.

My mother, who was crippled was left on a plane. We had ordered a wheelchair to go in and pick her up and bring her out to us. When the pilot, copilot and staff all came off the plane and my mother did not. I started raising some loud questions, the pilot stopped, ordered a wheelchair and went on the plane to get my mother who had been left unable to walk and cell phones were not around then. We did not sue but we should have.

Whatever haters. If she is pulling a stunt, than yeah you're all pretty much right.
But, if they saw her sleeping, didn't try to wake her, left and locked the plane, I think that is different. I would be pissed if that happened to me.
Yeah, personal responsibility; what about the PR of the other passengers? What about PR of the crew of the airline she paid money to fly on? Yeah, ok she had a phone and didn't make a call, that Is the biggest indicator of a scam. BUT, let's say it's true, OK, she did something really dumb. I've done some dumb things in my time.
One, the phone thing was after the fact, and two, if it's the truth then it wasn't a malicious act, just dumb. Anyway, if I fell asleep on a flight and no one bothered to wake me up and then locked the plane I would not be happy. My screw up does not absolve theirs.
Would I sue? Not if I wasn't harmed. Would I try to get a free vacation? Hell yeah. Would I suggest change so that doesn't happen to someone else? Yup.
Again, if she is trying to con, most of you are correct. Think what you will about me, I would love to know her age, background, weight, education level, race, etc. If I knew that, I bet you anything I would know mistake v. opportunistic liar.
Aaaand now I am wondering why I cared to write this. Bangin Friday night lol. I blame this flu, benedryl, and other meds.
Later OBST peeps! Don't drink the purple Hatorade!

Feiger DOES Suck. ...But I still can't believe the airline didn't sweep the plane better. WHY would you think its OK to walk away and leave a sleeper aboard???!
Maybe because they're union folks and their shift ended?!
After that it wasn't their problem anymore?!
Typical!

Fundamental Attribution Error = Bad things are always someone else's fault. It's a cultural norm nowadays....
Lots of attorneys out there are willing to grab for the gold ring with one or two "awards" a year as they take half, or more, of any sympathetic jury largess.
McDonalds workers better be careful if they don't get this fool's Chicken Nuggets order just right!
