Car sticking out of building is a big attraction in downtown Tulsa
Police say the Mercedes was in reverse in the parking garage when the driver's foot got stuck on the gas pedal. (This story says the driver was 67.) He wasn't able to stop before the car crashed through the sixth-floor wall. (Tulsa World)
That Mercedes looks remarkably undamaged. Well-made cars. The company should use this as an opportunity to advertise its (presumably) great bumper crash ratings!

if his foot had "gotten stuck" a little bit longer this could have been very ugly.

that'll teach him to put superglue on the soles of his shoes! i mean really: how in the world does one's foot get "stuck?"

Sudden acceleration!

Every once in a while, it's just a bad idea to park in downtown Tulsa. Back in the mid-'70s, there was a flash flood that filled an underground parking garage with water. Sure, the flood didn't last long, but a car doesn't have to be under 25' of water very long!
