Do we really need researchers to tell us we're happier on weekends?
A newspaper reporter called the author of the study and asked, "Isn't this a tad obvious?" (The researcher tried to defend it.) "It's not as if [this study] stands alone in the annals of "Duh!" research," writes the reporter. (Sacramento...

Three days after Brandon Buchanan pleaded guilty to child porn possession, an attorney representing "Misty," a minor who appeared in several images and videos, wrote to prosecutors and requested restitution of more than $3.4 million. There was no indication that...

Word to the wise; NEVER, Ever release a weapon without putting it on "Safety".
This is straight from basic "Hunting and Firearms Safe-Handling" class in 1976.
Sidebar: There is a good reason why Cops NEVER release their weapons in hostage situations. This enthusiastic Lab just reinforces the reasoning in a "light" manner.
At least the Dude survived. Thank goodness.

On the positive side, it's likely that several ducks were saved that day.

@Krash - FTA (and Jim's blurb): "causing the safety to disengage and the weapon to fire". Seems the safety WAS on.

You know, articles like this almost make me miss our good friend Tater-Dick. He'd spout off some drivel about how dogs are taking over the world and now's the time to kill them all. He'd throw in some commentary about how unsanitary they are and we'd all get a good laugh while proclaiming him unsanitary... :D
LOL @ RMM! <3 That and Beggin' Strips.... she wants REAL bacon!

The, er, dog released the safety. Yeah, that's it.
Hmm, or it was never engaged. Or he dropped the gun. Or his buddy pulled a Cheney.
Even the best version of what might have happened doesn't paint this guy in a bright light. He put a shotgun with round chambered in a position that a dog would claw on it, pointing in his general direction.
Bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon ... hey, this ain't bacon, it's some kind of shelf-stable animal by-products ... eat lead, cheap, lying MF, [blam], [blam][blam][blam][click][click][click]

The shooter was black.
Will she get the death penalty?

Thank-you Sigh.
It would take a really frantic, highly kinetic or just possibly remarkably (malevolently?) dexterous dog
to undo the safety on an unmodified firearm.
I mean, it takes some doing to engage / disengage
a low-profile, nearly flush lever on the receiver of a shotgun. Odds are very slim that the dog could do that.
