You can get awfully drunk off of $5,520.

This would not have happened if she were at home watching the state of the union address. Obama could have saved her.

They say your chances of winning the lottery are less than being struck by lightning. The lesson: If you ever win the lottery you've just twisted your probable future outcomes into a paranoid mess.

At least she died rich.

I'm with you Reno, and God willing, someday we will find out just how much that would be. LOL!

I see Ellie is one of the "compassionate conservatives" though Ellie is still boring, pedantic and pathetic. Come on Ellie, use that brain cell you have left and generate something original or even amusing, otherwise, hit the road in Ohio.

people die tragically and Ellie's only response is a tired rant against the government
boring
sad
thoughtless
casually cruel
yep, JJ, sounds like a compassionate conservative to me too

Well, I gotta hand it to her that she knows where a lot of us keep our goat.

Sad...they must have used a backhoe to pickup the $5520 in change that flew all over the highway when she got hit

Krash -
I think Earl is a reference to the TV show, "My Name is Earl". The premise is a trailer park type rustic wins the lottery, gets hit by a car on the same day, and has an epiphany as to how to spend the money while in the hospital.

This proves the old adage that even $5,500 won't get you a cab in Sandusky.

It just saved her the trouble of buying 5,520 losing lottery tickets.

Let's all chip in for a lottery ticket for PBFH Ellie the Lightbulbisout.

Her luck ran out....in front of a car.

@Torgo - $5250 is hardly rich. Not that I would refuse that amount (or even a tenth of that) if someone threw it my way, of course.
