It's the arrignment, people. You can't plead at the arraignment. The D.A. probably hasn't received all the paperwork and hasn't even made a plea offer yet. I can understand the general public not knowing that, but you'd think reporters would have basic knowledge of the judicial system.

According to Wikipedia (I know, I know) and my personal recollection of 11th Grade U.S. Government class: an arraignment is where charges are presented, bail (if any) is set, and you enter a plea in response.
