Aleh Kot is accused of stealing a car and abducting a car salesman during a test drive. Kot drove on the Massachusetts Turnpike at estimated speeds of up to 125 mph. The salesman was able to escape during a traffic tie-up by the toll booth. Kot, who started his drive in Massachusetts, was arrested in Wisconsin.

Is he making a 'funny face' for his mug shot? Jerk. How the heck did he get so far?

I guess he liked the car.

I worked for 2 car dealerships in my former life (the fun one), and I find this story funny. Dealers and salesman are smarmy.

What kind of name is "Aleh Kot"? Not exactly Irish or French. Just curious.

Don't you hate it when you just can't decide whether you LIKE a car enough to buy it?

RICK: Oh, Mr. Kramer, I gotta thank you. I - I learned a lot. Things are gonna be different for me now.
KRAMER: Well, that’s a weird thing to say..

The salesman took a really long time to realize he was 'abducted'. Think about it. The article says that he should have been able to go 460ish miles on a tank of gas so he had to stop at least once. This ignores the fact that cars on lots NEVER have more than a freakin' ounce of gas in them.
Why didn't he escape at the gas stations? Who paid for gas? This doesn't pass the common sense test.

Really? A Honda Accord? Nothing against the Honda's - great gas mileage, obviously, but if you're going to steal a car...

What a dork, if I'm going to take a car on a 1500 mile test drive.....it's gonna be a new Corvette ZR-1. A Honda Accord????...what is the guy's dreamcar, a vintage Chrysler LeBaron?....perhaps Jon Voight's old car?

I see a Honda commercial: "our cars are so great, its a real steal" "most stolen by the budget minded" "don't leave your salesman behind" "take a long test drive" "no money down"
