Man sells sister's stuff at yard sale after fighting with her

Martonosy_t160.JPG"I have lost things that you can’t replace," including heirloom Christmas ornaments and hundreds of family pictures, says the 23-year-old sister. Her 32-year-old brother has been charged with grand theft. (Naples Daily News)

He is too old to be acting like that.
Hey Sheila! We have another set of proud parents out there somewhere.
This story makes me happy to have the brother I do. When I see him, I'm going to hug him and tell him I love him, instead of the usual noogie and wedgie...

HELL JUST ANOTHER FAMILY DISAGREEMENT.

Geez and i thought MY brother was an a$$...

This is perhaps one of the most cruel non-violent crimes a person could commit against another.

Paging jakejake...

Yeah, you're definitely hitting below the belt any time you mess with someone's family photos.

I wish they had provided more info, like how/why the relationship between these two had apparently deteriorated to this point.

Who the hell buys another person's family photos?

Posted by: twerp | Jul 17, 2009 2:03:19 PM

That's an excellent question.

Posted by: outofsalt | Jul 17, 2009 2:17:18 PM

Absolutely, RMM. In the comment section below the article, the sister describes what she lost. The neighbors who bought some things for $30 gave it back to her, but she's missing a lot of stuff. He must have destroyed the photos because who else would want them? What a weasel rat bastard this guy is. I hope he gets payback somehow, someday. Her consolation might be that he takes himself wherever he goes and can't escape what he is.

mmmMMOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMmmmm...Sandor's picking on meee!!!

He looks like a tool too--she's better off without him.

An ex of mine decided we were broken up because I had to take a business trip and she didn't want me too. The only good thing was that one very important thing was at my moms because my nephew had used it for show and tell. It was the only thing I didn't lose.

Way to be dicks, Geico.

@ David - did you prosecute your girlfriend when you returned home from your business trip - or did she get away with with Grand Theft.

I'm assuming that she did get away with her horrible crime and disgraceful actions. And, of course, you being the male, allowed it ... as most men do ... such a shame really.

Why is it that men seem to always allow women to 'get away with murder', so to speak?

Posted by: coolsamcc | Jul 18, 2009 1:38:06 PM

I was so shellshocked that yes she got away with it. I moved out the next weekend, but didn't press charges.

"Why is it that men seem to always allow women to 'get away with murder', so to speak?"

Well, people are predisposed to believe a pretty feminine fluffy young thing rather than her obnoxious hulk of a boyfriend. So if the pretty young thing says "He told me to have a garage sale while he was gone because he didn't want to deal with it." people tend to believe her.

In fact, if the guy in this story had been the one to have his belongings sold a fair percentage of comments would be "I'm betting he told her to have a garage sale and is just being a jerk now."

Women want equal rights these days. They can do the time just like any guy that would have done the same thing. That said, this guy is a real prick. I couldnt ever do anything like that to my sister.

I love it when people behaving badly expect those arround them to hew to their own rules of 'right and wrong'. She pushed his buttons, he pushed hers right back, now she's all sad. Tough!

I am sure there is more to this story than what they are saying.

maybe she owed him money for drugs...

maybe she owed him for......oh forget it,

this guy is f@#king a douchebag.
