Cops don't know why guy smashes TV sets at Wal-Mart
Three days after a 21-year-old man was arrested at Wal-Mart for smashing several televisions with a softball bat, he was back at the scene of the crime — this time with a lamp. Police don't know what motivates him. (Crescent City, CA Triplicate)
He is obviously devastated by the news that Paula Abdul may be axed from American Idol, and he lost his moral compass.

Motivation? I can think of a lot of reasons to smash things in a Wal Mart, especially TVs.
I love the name The Daily Triplicate. "Our news is thrice redundant."

Can't prosecute the case unless they file charges within 48 hours? I thought it was that they can't hold him without charges for more than 48 hours.
They can still charge him after they let him go though. I mean really, if he was held without charges, for which crimes would he never be prosecuteable again? There would be no way to know -- he wasn't charged.
