The woman, who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 15-year-old friend of her son, was told by the school that "there is no acceptable way of allowing you to attend [graduation] without adversely affecting other families and participants."

Sounds more than fair to me. She should be doing time and would be if not for who she is.
Posted by: kevy | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 09:19 AM
I would glady welcome her into my home. I'd tear that putang up. I know it's a double standard but I envy that 15yr old. That was some prime grade A putang he got.

Sounds fair.

as boring as graduations can get; down here we would enjoy the added excitement of her being there.
Posted by: lynn | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:11 AM
I bet she was invited to all the graduation parties afterwards...
aint that right Stiffler...

HE DEFINITELY HAD IT MADE FOR SURE...WONDER WHAT WENT WRONG.

That's what happens when you rape a minor. It's interesting that she's going to hold a press conference to address the school's decision. She probably wants to talk to her lawyer to see if she can force the issue. I hope there's a follow up on this one!
Posted by: Kee | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:32 AM
Let her go to the event, have a separate room set up for her away from the main auditorium or outdoor area, and let someone set up a live-feed camera and monitor so she can be present and watch, but not be around anyone else. Problem solved.

Jennie Lee Dinkel? You just can't make this stuff up!

If cougars run free,,,than why not we?
Posted by: thomas | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:53 AM
She's OK-looking. Nothing to jump out of an airplane for, though (unlike our godesses, any one of whom would be worth any sacrifice)).

..."there is no acceptable way of allowing you to attend without adversely affecting other families and participants." They continued, "Had you been a priest, of course, things would be different."
I assume that we know about this because she is making a fuss about the decision to not let her attend. Certainly at least, she is against it. That leads me to think that she doesn't think what she did was wrong.
Posted by: Sigh | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:58 AM
oh Cheif sir, you are such a loyal and much endowed mortal; no goddess would sacrifice thee...;)
i have you down for a 3 pm sponge bath; after merc and before LGL. SIL I am saving for the last so I can work really really slow.

Posted by: lynn | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:10 AM
Lynn;
No bath for TAG?
Surely you must have a wire brush and bar naptha.
Posted by: thomas | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:12 AM
thomas! hello -- where have you been?
no one get wire brushes or naphta. all have their own loofa and goddess goat milk soap ot lava, as they prefer.
TAG and ASM are on schedule for tomorrow after troschne(he takes all morning after the mug shot fever he caught, serious case, he might relapse if we are not careful).
SIL always wears me out--hopping out of the tub, flapping water all over the floor and dumping the shampoo in the galvinized tub. then i have to chase LGL out while i am bathing myself.
would you like to have a sponge bath.
Posted by: lynn | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:26 AM
Of course, they will welcome the 3 paroled murderers, 17 convicted drug dealers, and the 3 people who killed children when driving drunk with open arms.
Posted by: george | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:30 AM
Lynn;
Sponge indeed!!
Nothing is free, and I've always tried to pay my own way, cash or trade. What makes you think I need a handout, or charity?
Oh,,,,,that kind of sponge!
Will you change the water first, and allow me to wash your hair? Lavender is not to be omitted!
Posted by: thomas | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:51 AM
While I agree with the decision, given that the school is run by the Catholic church, there's a pretty hefty dose of hypocrisy involved here.
Posted by: Pustulio | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 12:21 PM
OMG I agree with George. Just because this women allowed herself to be so weak as to stoop to having intercourse with a fifteen year old boy, does not, and I mean NOT mean that she should be denied the right to see her child graduate from high school, especially when other criminals can and do.
Besides what right does the school have to deny her seeing that moment. She has not done anything threatening or violent to the students, faculty and staff now has she?
Shame on her for her indiscretion and behavior.
But shame on the school for their decisions as well.

lynn - I anxiously await your kind ministrations. Please allow me to return the favor (I've been told I give great massages).
Posted by: Navy Chief | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 12:29 PM
@thomas--i run a clean brain bleach and sponge bath property. the water is often changed mid bath. :)
i would rather you use the cucumber melon as lavender makes me sleepy.
@ navy chief--i would like the massage. btw, you have one of those things that we can not say we have done as it bothers some postees here---one of those er ummm thingys...
Posted by: lynn | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 12:46 PM
And most of all, shame on the Cincinnati Enquirer for publishing the son's name. Don't even get me started on newspapers reporting the name of a perp's relative--that is just plain wrong.
Posted by: troschne | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 01:16 PM
Shame on the school for not allowing a registered sex offender attend graduation?
If it was a repeat offender that had violently raped a small child, there would be very little if any sympathy should that offender want to attend graduation.
This is an adult woman that was found guilty of raping a child, and wants to attend a high school graduation, where you can almost guarantee there will be people under the age of 18 there graduating.
What about the rights of those children to a safe environment, should those be thrown out the window so this woman can have her supposed right to attend her son's graduation?

"If it was a repeat offender that had violently raped a small child, there would be very little if any sympathy should that offender want to attend graduation."
True, but it wasn't.

Too late for worrying about the son's name. The case concerning Mrs. Dinkel and the teen was all over the media for months. Because her husband had been a Bengal, everyone knew who they were, as well as their son.
Posted by: Sheila | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 02:15 PM
Why do people give a shit about high school graduation? I certainly didn't. I'll be happy about graduating college, but high school, seriously? You can be a total retard (literally) and pass high school.
Posted by: Joe | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 02:21 PM
Let's see: The family paid for their son to go to the school. The boy has been fighting cancer, so its been hard on him (and the family) to even make it to graduate. Has the school banned anyone else? I don't agree with what she did, but she does have a right to see her son graduate. If others don't like it, they can stay home. Of course, if she was a he, he would be in prison.
Posted by: me2 | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 02:28 PM
Okay, she was not his teacher, boss, or anything else... Right?
Then this is just silly. That isn't rape... That is the fantasy of about 85% of 15y.o. boys. Yes, it is a double standard, but double standards aren't always wrong.
Posted by: Wow... really? | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 03:30 PM
Lynn as long as I get my happy ending I'm cool with how ever you bathe me :-p
If you want to tie a sponge to the end of a rubber hose and go crazy. Why not. I'm open minded :-p
Posted by: The Asshole Guy | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 03:51 PM
OMG Lynn...are you excited or what? If you intend to "hit the beach" with those sponges, you're going to need a Marine to lead the way!
Posted by: Rock Marine | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 04:00 PM
And the Navy to get you there! Go Rock!
Posted by: Navy Chief | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 04:26 PM
Goddess Lynn,
You besmirch my good reputation as a southern gentleman! I am verily wounded. I only look through teh sacred window of the goddesses. I thoght the rules say that mortal men may do so.
Where the hell is that rule book? ...See? Right here. "Mortal men may look through the window of bathing goddesses, though he may suffer death or other sundry punishments at her will." Gaa! Gimme a break.
I thought you were calling for scented oils, that's all! Is a man not supposed to obey a goddess? My hearing is bad! (Merc, Help me out here!!!!!) It was a complete misunderstanding, that's all. Okay? Please?
And thanks for not firing lightning bolts through my bulbous crotchtal area due to my misunderstood indescretion thing.
(First one to name the SNL reference gets a free digital donut.)

See goddess Lynn? Such fear is upon me I have misspelt me worddsss..
Posted by: LimeGreenLizard | Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 05:31 PM
Oh LGL, you are indeed a persuasive mortal. If you promise to keep this blindfold of my lacey undies on, I will allow you to hand me the oils and always you are forgiven, you knkow too many of my rendevous while i was wearing the flame colored gown.
LMAO @ lightening bolts in the crochetal area. (oh crap--i am not EVEN going to change that misspell...)
@ TAG: happy endings are extra, sugarfoot. but we can talk about it/
Posted by: lynn | Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at 06:26 AM
Oh, Lizard...You don't have to just look in the window!!! You've been invited in by the goddesses!!! Once that happens, you have the run of the place the same as the gods, goddesses, demi-gods, and window washers!!!
Posted by: USMerc | Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at 07:13 AM
Everyone should be held accountable for their actions. Double standards or not, she should be banned. Setup the video feed for her, but she knew what she was getting into when she bedded the 15 y/o. If not then she lives in an ice cave in the North Pole. You get busted and sentenced as a sex offender, you know your life as it stood before is over. You will be scorned and should be.
Posted by: R | Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at 09:16 AM
back to this subject: does the lady & the school really think that the ban and the "press conference" are going to help the community forget that she had an affair with a 15 year old??
10, 15,20 years from now, when her or her family are in the news for an award, wedding or funeral; the town folks will say"Oh hons, you remember them. The mamma was sleeping with a 15 year old boy!!" Small towns and large cities are all the same --
Posted by: lynn | Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at 10:07 AM
i will leave the window open tonight when i bathe.
Posted by: lynn | Wednesday, April 01, 2009 at 10:13 AM
lynn, Cincinnati is already a VERY broken community, and what that Cougar did isn't going to make or break it. I could spend hours on why it is a FAIL, but I'll leave it to a few keystrokes. I lived there for two years, and while it seems great, when visiting, it is a MESS if you live there. I wouldn't wish that place off on my worst enemy. As someone once wisely told me--it's where Nazi Germany meets the Old South. I effing hate that Hell hole.
BTW--you may leave your window open at night, but I wear my sunglasses at night...

**it's where Nazi Germany meets the Old South.**
good lord, & i thought old south meeting new south was bad enough....
and now i will be singing that song, troschne. is that all you wear at night?
lynn leaving and tossing her hair, pouty lips shining in the cherry gloss...
