Jealous women fail in attempt to get suspected hussy deported

Three women forced the victim into a car, accusing her of having an affair with one woman's boyfriend. The women then drove her to border patrol agents in an attempt to get her deported. (She recently moved to Washington state from Mexico.) They failed in their deportation try, though. KOMO News)

From the article I'm not even sure if the woman is an illegal immigrant, but if she is she should be deported. While they're at it, they should deport the other women to Mexico too.

"recently moved to Washington sate from Mexico"

I'm sure they at least used spell check, but don't these newspapers have proofreaders too?

G-man--probably not--most news outlets are cutting staff left and right--sad, but with the availablity of on-line resources, they're becoming dinasaurs. It's unfortunate, but that's the reality of today's news reporting.

Hussy--LOVE it!!

She'd just had a good meal, G-Man.

A lot of nutcases say that the media is liberal, but I've never seen any evidence of it. I will, though, concede that they certainly have a liberal use policy when it comes to the word "mastermind."

hey, at least they tried!

G-Man, sate is an actual word so spell check wouldn't work. This is a case when they really needed a proof reader, or at least some software that tells you that word is out of context.

These three ladies, and I'm using that word in a general sense, deserve to go to jail. At least 10 days each just for wasting time and resources.

Yes R, I know sate is a word. I could actually go for some right now.

Note to Lt. Femley: Your comment that the three plotters didn't realize the waste of critical resources is delusional. The waste of resources is not on their list of concerns. The Pacific NW is not exactly unfriendly to illegal immigrants. I don't know about Bellingham, but some NW cities have policies protecting illegals from deportation.

G-Man - You want some sate? I thought sate was a condintion, like being full after a meal. Maybe you meant sake? :-)

Anyway, another story from my fine state of Washington. I swear, we're competing with Florida and Wisconsin (or was that Minnesota?).

Posted by: Navy Chief | Feb 10, 2009 7:05:58 AM

Now us Hussies are having our jobs taken by immigrant Hussies?
This is just crap.

Sate is both a noun and a verb.

The verb 'sate' means to be full, or appeased, often with food. Hence my post: "She'd just had a good meal, G-Man."

The noun sate (which can also be spelled 'satay') is an Indonesian dish of sliced meat served on wooden skewers. It is tasty. Hence G-Man's post: "I know sate is a word. I could actually go for some right now."

Yes, sate is a word, but it is WAY out of context in the sentence G-man pointed out, and I don't care if SpellCheck might have missed it, a decent HUMAN proofreader would have caught it.

Who could have missed that? Hmmm--could it be SATE-an???

DEFINITELY A CROCK

Thanks for clarifying elchamp. For the record, I'd never try to eat a verb.

Reminds me of something you might see on Desperate Housewives.

Posted by: cherie | Feb 10, 2009 8:08:37 AM

Me too, Cherie.
So which DHW are you?
I'm 1/2 Lynette and 1/2 Susan

Another m*f who will be up against the wall when the revolution comes.

FYI- KOMO News is a television news outlet, not a newspaper. Stories like this one often come from synopses of on air news segments and spoken word doesn't usually need a proofreader. Spelling errors/word misuse happen pretty frequently in this situation.

Melissa, I can't speak for G-man, but I knew it was originally from a television report. That doesn't excuse the fact that, when it was posted to the station's Web site, someone didn't check for accuracy.

None of the Women will be deported. No Politician would remove a possible vote from His or Her district, no matter if its a leagal vote or not

Posted by: lokidogg | Feb 10, 2009 10:07:42 AM

Troschne - You can speak for me. I'm going to hire you as my PR person. So feel free to say I knew or didn't know. Whatever will improve my image :-)

Posted by: G-Man | Feb 10, 2009 10:14:16 AM

Thanks for the vote of confidence, G-man--I'll try to make you proud! :-D

Posted by: troschne | Feb 10, 2009 10:19:37 AM

Awesome G-Man. Can I be your Hussy?

Posted by: RockyMtnMac | Feb 10, 2009 10:21:54 AM

Honestly I really dont "fit" any of the DHW ....Susan is too ditzy, the red head is WAY too anal, the blond is too much of a slut, lynette is too controlling...they're all so damn extreme...it should be called EXTREMELY Desperate Housewives. I suppose I'm more like Karen....(isn't that her name? the one thats currently boinking Mike that will probably be killed by psycho Dave)

Posted by: cherie | Feb 10, 2009 10:30:09 AM

I stand (well, I'm sitting at the moment) corrected. With the number of Indians I work with, I should have known about sate (or satay or whatever).
