University of Minnesota student Jennifer Nicole Anato-Mensah, 21, threw a fit after Twin Cities station KSTP fired her as an intern. She began hurling threats at a producer and kicked out the glass of a conference room door in an attempt to get at her. "You don't know where I'm from. I'll mess you up, b----," the student allegedly told the female producer. (St. Paul Pioneer Press)

Get this woman some meds. Lithium would probably do her some good.

I'm sure her attitude and disposition will suite her well in the talk radio circuit.

Would a well-adjusted person start a career in journalism these days?

>> The link isn't working.
It's working for me.

Forget about it. It's only KSTP. It's not like it was at one of the good stations.

The link didn't work for me either so I just googled the woman's name and got the story that way.

Maybe I'm being judgmental, but I think we can guess why she got herself fired in the first place.
Posted by: Soo | Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 08:59 AM
I think she posts in here alot - sounds like her anyway.

She'll get a job somewhere for one of the networks.
Posted by: Moose | Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 09:09 AM
She's obviously quite intelligent -- she has "Mensa" in her name.

I hope my fifteen minutes is for something not quite so embarrassing, like peeing in public.

People, don't you understand
the child needs a helping hand
or she'll grow to be an angry young woman some day

Sterilize her.

actually, this happened to me three times when I managed a radio station in college.
People who have psychotic breaks do so in college. People who are headed down that route often times end up in careers like show business and journalism.
This happened to me three times and I was physically attacked twice.

Ahhhh gotta love the new generation...The Age of Entitlement twits with their expectations and lack of work ethic. Just another view of the new level of professionalism we should come to anticipate.

As usual, Farmer Bob has been blunt. Please God, do not let Jennifer reproduce.

Let's fix her up with dick taster.

"The Age of Entitlement"
ha! we call it the same thing, sort of funny how close it is to "The Age of Enlightenment" only not. Kind of a little play on words we also like to use to mock the snot noses around here. It is practically a snowstorm with all the special little flakes we see, unique in all the world, just like everyone else. All I ask is that they remain the hell off my lawn. That's all I've ever asked.

DCer,
you remarks turned me down a meloncholy thought lane; I do recall student cracking under the strain (?) at university. Generally 1 per three teaching sections per semester. Just stark raving nuts.
Given the amount of stress incumbent on the least trying of jobs, may be its some kind weeding out process. Because if you can't handle the demands of high school and univeristy, you have no prayer in the Big Outside World.

Never trust a woman with a hyphenated last name. It is a sympton of mental derangement and emotional instability. She probably learned this behavior from all the illegal Somalis living in the Twin Cities.

Wow, how can you lose a job where all you need to do is write down a number or combination of numbers and letters in a log, then place the item in the proper place...yikes...I don't think having Mensa in her name was any help at all. I guess when you lose the "big picture" this isn't too bad, she could have just shown up with a gun...now that would have been bad...

"her responsibilities included logging tape and organizing tapes for the newscasts"
she must be all kinds of dim to get fired
Posted by: | Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 01:33 PM
Spoiled brat. Simple as that.

Oh, Mike Litoris, you're so "whittay". Too much for me. What the heck are you going on about?
The poor dear just needed a new coat. One with really long sleeves that tie up around the back.

Way to go, Dale Carnegie!
What is she thinking--that the producer will say, "Hey, maybe I shouldn't fire you after all"?

by the way my wife hyphenates her last name for legal reasons dealing with power of attorney......and she's the smartest most easygoing person i know.....she'd have to be to put up with me.....even more so to put up with the people she has to deal with everyday(if i was her you'd see me on the news with a headline saying 30 dead).........must be another reason this woman is psycho----not the name
