Shelly Farnham considered using a webcam to catch the person defacing her garage door, but she opted for an Obama image. Her message for the graffiti artist: "Are you willing to paint over my art of this popular political figure? How low could you be to do that?" (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)

She should have installed the camera too.

Ah, I love Seattle. Wouldn't want to live there, mind you (20 miles is close enough).

AND the water gun.

I bet it would get painted over if she put McCain's picture up there.
Of course, she now has to worry about the idiots that won't know who Barak Obama is and paint on it anyway. Grafitti Vandals are not exactly the smartest people in the room.

I wish I could live in Seattle. That would be awesome! I love culture--not the creature who posts on here but the other type of culture.

It looks like the 15% thread's been compromised again. Jim, there's no use in re-posting it. I wish I could read Soo's and sts's comments on it though.
*sigh*

Oh, well; it's been played out.

twerp, I basically said that you are not choosing to be rich (click your heels, wiggle your nose, and don't forget to smile!) opting instead to suck the life blood out of the rest of us hard working, tax paying, wealthy Americans and that basically you are a monster and that me and thetruth were going to round up some other truth-y people to come burn down your hovel.
:)

so do I. If I must say so myself, I was freakin' brilliant! I really should just develop an overweaning ego and save every post I make to a word file before I click the post link.
Damn.

Jim, for some of us it was taking the place of caffeine. I was up late last night hating freedom and watching baseball.

As I stated yesterday:
Jim, although it's got to be a pain in the rear for all the emails you probably get over the hacking situation, it's got to be something of an ego fluff to discover that hackers think you and your little Human Experiment can sway enough voters one way or the other this election.
Sometimes the pen really is mightier than the sword.

Judging from his economic policies, a Stalin mustache may be in order. Regardless who wins this election - we are screwed because neither understands economic policy. Living in Chicago, I'm overwhelmed by the god-like status Obama is given, even though he's unproven. America's not set up to be a socialist state - our national debt is too high, so we're in for punishing taxes down the road. He's gonna pull a George Bush Sr. McCain is just more W economics.

sts, your comments always make me laugh!

Don't think that just because this is Seattle that her garage will now be graffiti-free. There are plenty of people who will be happy to deface a painting of Barack Obama. Some of them would drive across town to do it.
She'll get death threats and other rude messages. It totally sucks.

half my posts are not showing up.
in case anyone is wondering, they have been pretty hilarious.

I don't consider taxes socialist, I consider them a free people's patriotic responsibility.

lol elchampino! twerp, I'm glad someone thinks I'm funny. My boss doesn't seem to see the humor in it. He's cracking the whip. Got to work now. I shall return (and that's a threat!

what this lady needs is a barking dog chained to her garage...that'll keep paint-happy bast@rds away!

elchampino;
I hadn't read it - thank you for steering me to it. He says it much better than I could.

Obama wouldn't look so much like a god if his predecessor didn't look so much like a devil.

My parents' neighbor and his girlfriend are cops. They were having trouble with somebody putting beer bottles in their yard. So one night (while on duty), he and his girlfriend did a stake-out in their bushes. When the guy showed up they threatened to take him down town. Turns out, the guy is their other next door neighbor (not my parents). They didn't take him downtown because he promised never to do it again. The cops are keeping their eyes on him though b/c he's an alcoholic who has been busted several times with DUIs--which scares the crap out of me b/c he lives on the same road as my parents.

This is yet one more situation that could be fixed by random land mines - I swear I AM becoming a fan of them!
Posted by: RockyMtnMac | Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 09:47 AM
Grafitti Vandals are not exactly the smartest people in the room . . . Guess what DanO, neither are Obama supporters
Posted by: | Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 09:50 AM
The problem with random land mines is that someone as wonderfully awesome and undeserving as me might step on one. Poor little me, blown to smithereens, perhaps for the greater good, but who knows?
Could you live with that, Rocky? Could you?
:P

Soo
If you are a barking dog, a kid who won't stay out of my yard, or a grafitti-tard spraying my house, then yes, I am OK with you being blown to smithereens.
If you are not guilty of these, no need to worry...
Unless I find out you are a librarian related to an author - then start running...........
Posted by: RockyMtnMac | Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:41 AM
No librarians in my family tree. No authors either, come to think on it. I'm not from the "impresssive IQ" line of genetics.
Yes, my younger sister and I were the freak show at many a family reunion. It's actually kinda fun to watch drunk people glaze over while discussing Hawking's latest research to prove one of his own theories wrong.

America's not set up to be a socialist state
And yet, here we are, dumping billions of public money to keep several banks afloat because they didn't know that too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing. A rather socialist action.
Doesn't matter who wins, we still end up with a politician in office.
And to try to keep this someone on-topic - She needs a camera and a motion activated water pistol filled with permanent ink.

Ok, let me see if I've got this right. A few days ago some guy is pissed off that his luxury car is being vandalized because of McCain stickers...flash forward and some lady is using Obama to ward off Vandalism. Just kill me now. I can't wait for the election to be over so we can get back to hating all politicians.
