They're there for the big dedication of the Fonz statue. "We're so proud of Henry [Winkler], and we're proud of the show," says Anson Williams. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)

Boring. But what's not boring is THIS from the BBC today about a 2005 bout pitting 42 midgets against 1 lion. Surely, this *must* be a joke.

I never could take this sitcom too seriously. C'mon, one of the characters was supposed to be a Milwaukee native and yet spoke like she just got off the bus from Brooklyn.

Nothing says "Wisconsin" better than cheese, beer, Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, snow, and crazy people.

STS, that's one crazy link. I can't believe anyone in their right mind would be so stupid to get into a ring with a lion without weapons!!!! 42 to 1 wasn't even close. The lion was probably just a little winded and maybe got full after 28....

totally fake.

but a good spoof! I found it off an msn story about the "new" Clue board game. No more wrench, lead pipes or revolvers. The anti-wrench-leadpipe-revolver lobby is ruining America. Good thing I can still buy a machine gun...

The best part of Laverne and Shirley was when Mork showed up before he moved to Boulder. I thought that was so realistic.

Any story from overseas involving midgets = probably bogus.

DEFINITELY RETRO TV

I think this is the best story of the day Jim: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/puerto_rico_standing_wake;_ylt=AgDGs1U6K3j67D2WlQ7ff47lWMcF

now a nine foot anaconda might have at least been believable...

They had fans?

What i found useful about the article was the fact that Warren aka "Potsie" Webber was related to the hiemlich maneuver guy. I wonder if the hiemlich maneuver would work in reverse in order to dislodge a claw hammer from someone's back door.

Geez Jim, looks like you're going to have to find more stimulating stories or start an open forum for folks like Reno and STS to post their own.....

Yeah, it's a shame the lion story is a fake. Made great water cooler talk.

Notice no quotes from Henry Winkler. Is that because he didn't give enough of a sh!t
to bother to show up?
