Foursome's golf game interrupted by a masked and armed robber

When the four golfers and two caddies reached the 16th tee, a gunman emerged from nearby woods and said, Give me your money." He robbed two of the golfers and one of the caddies before fleeing into the woods. The foursome finished their round of golf after the incident. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)

Gunman needs to be sterilized.

Had the golfers been armed, as all good citizens should be, we would have one less scumbag thief running loose. Anyone who declines to carry a handgun is asking to be a victim. Criminals have no regard for human life. The least you can do is protect yourself by carrying a weapon at all times.

4 golfers between them have at least 48 clubs - woods and irons I'd say they were well armed

First thing to pop into my brain was Caddy Shack which has nothing to do with the story but if these guys can afford to pay the club dues and spend hundreds of dollars on a single driver they can afford to be robbed now and then.

Seriously, one guy robbed 6 other guys?? Must have been a big gun or a bunch of pansies. j/k

I am surprised that none of these guys took action though, and instead decided to just play through.

Sounds like a cover story for the wives, as in where they spent all of their money....

You have to love the diehard golfer set. The folks that will get to the tee at dawn even if its raining and 40 degrees, they'd play in 4 ft of snow if they could, even armed robbery doesn't detour them.

You REALLY have to be passionate about the game.

Dick C. Normas you didn't catch your 2nd typo either. I didn't want to be the nazi spelling police because I as well make my share of typeo's but the soot thing made me laugh.

GOING AFTER BIG BUCKS I GUESS

DT, I have a pistol permit so that I can carry my gun. The thing is, I'm not allowed to carry it on my work premisis--including the parking lot. Having one will result in immediate termination. Even if I could leave it in my car, it's too damn hot here in Alabama to store in a car.

Even our security guards here can't carry guns. How effed up is that?

I do carry a utility knife in my pocket at all times though--which is ok according to our policy.

After being a victim twice, one learns the necessary precautions to take for self-defense. A pen/pencil is all I really need to take a guy down now.

Golf - I just don't get the pleasure in it. I would rather spend an afternoon shooting skeet or hiking in the woods with my dog looking for a snipe.

As a golfer, I have to say that I'm proud of them for finishing the round.
If they didin't do anything, maybe they were seniors, a euphimism on the course for really old farts.lol

If I was there, I could've cut the guy to ribbons with my slice.
