Well, at least he wasn't naked. Looks as though he'd make a fugly woman!

Of course it's gender bias. Duh. It has been going on a long time, and people seem to have no problem with it. Therefore, forget it. Live with it. We like it. Duh.

Don't hate him just because he's beautiful.

A career lieutenant did this one night in the bunk house when I was a firefighter. He hit the switch for the bells, buzzer and the lights and there he was. In his undies with these huge fake tits on walking up and down the bunk room. One of the other career guys ripped of the tits and smashed them and told him to go the f*uck back to bed. Why he did it? I have no clue but it's something I'll never forget.

I just wish I could remember his last name though. He was a good firefighter and LT but a tad strange at times.

Photos!
Gotta have photos!

I can not believe all those people saw him & did not whip out the cellphone cameras/video.
This is definite YouTube comedy!

i agree with the posters on the article--what did he do to deserve arrest?

Posted by: oldewave | Jun 30, 2008 3:15:40 PM

He was just testing out his Halloweenie Costume

It's not gender bias. I'm a woman and if I walked around with my breasts hanging out I'd be arrested too. Even if they were fake!

What people need nowadays are some decent hobbies, something better than making innocent, unsuspecting commuters ralph. If this fellow's into finding his feminine side, why not try out some knitting, baking, or floral arranging?

Exactly what is the definition of "disorderly conduct"?

Did this man violate a fashion taboo by mis-matching his (er, hers, or its) ensemble?

Perhaps he was simply expressing his interpretation of an avangarde dance?

Then again he is probably just a wacko that wanted to beat the summer heat and spend a few afternoons relaxing on the city's dime.

Obviously, walking along I-291 regardless of how one is dressed, qualifies as so-called "simple trespass".

Since it is unlikely any citizen will show up to testify, doesn't this likely get tossed out of court?

Meanwhile, it is nice to see that Idiot Nation police force did find the guy after an "hour-long search". I give the suspect credit for at least collecting cans.

probably turns out the police thought it was a real woman and proceeded with the damselle in distress approach. but i bet you can guess what happened next.

Zim

In CT:

Sec. 53a-182. Disorderly conduct: Class C misdemeanor. (a) A person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, he:
(1) Engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or
(2) by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person; or
(3) makes unreasonable noise; or
(4) without lawful authority, disturbs any lawful assembly or meeting of persons; or
(5) obstructs vehicular or pedestrian traffic; or
(6) congregates with other persons in a public place and refuses to comply with a reasonable official request or order to disperse.

Item 3 has been declared unconstitutional (no standard of unreasonable noise)

Expression of political views found not to constitute disorderly conduct.

Under statute disorderly conduct may occur in a place that is not public. (Heh heh heh)

I suppose that if he were at a beach, it would be OK?

Not quite sure why he got arrested under that statute. Smells like the Manchester police might be vulnerable to an unlawful-arrest lawsuit.

I've seen similar behavior in New Orleans.

Damn I miss the good ole pre-Katrina days.

Posted by: twerp | Jul 1, 2008 6:01:36 AM

Sean,

He was walking down an Interstate which is unlawful. He was creating a traffic hazard.

Given the currrent rather senstive nature of the police; he is quite lucky there wasn't gaper's accident for which he could be crimnaaly and civilly liable.

I'd like to point out that if I wandered down 291 in a thong, fake breasts and wig, they'd have arrested me as well...although they'd have to call out the riot squad to do it.

Posted by: nellagain | Jul 1, 2008 6:09:06 AM

Ok, so they don't actually catch the guy in the act? He did have a thong and a bra on....since when is a thong illegal? (I unfortunately have seen a very unsavory looking guy prancing around a local beach in a thong bathing suit....and as far as i know its not illegal)
I'd fight this if I was him. He didn't hurt anyone just took an evening stroll in womens underwear. Not sure where the "disorderly" comes in.

*singing drunkenly off key*
A beautiful sight
On the highway at night
Walking round in women's underwear

Don't ask me why I'm drunk on a Tuesday morning, or is it that I wish I was.

He should enter the Miss Connecticuit contest with that getup.

Posted by: Phranqlin | Jul 1, 2008 7:08:51 AM

IF HE WAS NOT NUDE THERE WAS NO REASON TO ARREST
