Cops chase stolen doughnut truck at speeds of up to 100 mph
The county attorney says "what strikes me as a bit out of the ordinary in this case is the number of officers who were able to respond. I don't know whether the fact that the stolen vehicle contained doughnuts has anything to do with that." He just couldn't resist. (Des Moines Register)

When reporters called the theif's home his wife Marge insisted that it had to be a case of mistake in identity because she knows her Homey went straight to work at the power plant after dropping Bart and Lisa at school.

When this happened six months ago we at least got a video of the cops swerving around the donuts falling out of the back of the truck.
I had the pleasure of driving a bakery delivery truck for about a year. The idea of it going 100mph makes me want to fill me pants.

After the chase reporters asked one the cops what the driver was being charged with. The cop replied "Charged with what? We were just trying to catch up to him to buy donuts.".

Oh my goodness. I don't read for a couple of days, and this story comes up. The jokes practically write themselves. It's like a lightbulb joke: how many cops does it take to stop a donut truck?
