Man sodomizes teen stepson to avenge rape of daughter
In the what-the-hell!? department.... A 32-year-old is accused of sodomizing his 18-year-old stepson to avenge the teenager's alleged rape of the man's 8-year-old daughter. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram | Associated Press/no registration)
WOW! Sounds like a happy household! No wonder the kid is f*cked up. Sad... This type of cruel and unusual punishment...I just can't get behind.

I hear ya... but man... stepson or not, if someone did that to my four-year-old daughter and I had the chance to spend some "alone time" with them... I might even be facing more serious charges.

"I just can't get behind."
Oh dear. Cherie...my god...LOL

I just read the article. And I'll repeat...oh my god. But this time I'm not laughing. Christ almighty.

Knocking the shit out of him is one thing but "knocking" the shit out of him is another.

If you're 18 years-old, you're not a kid anymore. You're a man. And this man raped an 8 year-old girl. While you can't have people running around delivering their own brand of vigilante justice; I don't have much sympathy either. If anything, it's a failure on the system's part - releasing an accusing child molester w/out ensuring some kind of precaution considering he shares the same address as his victim...

I am kind of on the fence about this one.
The whole thing is horrible, but what did the mother expect when she bailed him out?? blood is thicker than water?? Of course the father would go after the stepson. I think that is a natural reaction...... however, you can't take the law into your own hands either
Tough one! poor 8 year old ;-(

IF someone did this to my daughter/step daughter/niece, etc, they would be disappeared. it would be very painful, and they would suffer tremendously. Then, there would be a wood chipper involved, possibly with a nice concrete tomb. But mark my words, they would never ever be heard from again.
On the other hand, blindfold him, pound the shit out of him with a baseball bat, get him convicted, and let everyone in the jail / prison know he is a convicted child molester. Remember what they did to that priest, or to Dahmer? They didn't last long, and I'll bet they cried like a baby.

It's hard to feel a lot of sympathy for these folks, except for the little girl.

Have to agree with Dubya. Child Molesters are the lowest on prison totem pole. They are also the ones getting the prison pole. Throwing him in jail would be great--lamb to a pack of wolves.

I wonder if this guy thinks this fall under "an eye for an eye" clause?

Wow, that sounds like something out of Pulp Fiction.

I agree with most of you. When my daughter was little if someone would've done this to her...they'd be finding his body parts in various dumpsters. I'm wondering what his Mom was thinking. If either of my sons did this to a child they'd be rotting in jail. From the Dad's track record I'm guessing this hasn't been the most stable household. Hell, my daughter is 18 now, but if some bastard raped her...I'd be hard pressed to not go after him myself. Sickness...its just plain sickness. (Dave...thanks for appreciating my horrendous pun)

but there is no guarantee that the 18 yr old bastard would be killed in prison.
the father should have finished the job.

I felt sick when I read this article. Crap, I can see the situation from the father's point of view even if it leaves me ill and ashamed that I can.
He sees his little 8 year old daughter being sodomized by the son of the woman he loves. He probably wanted to kill the sick puppy right then and there, but he called the police instead I give him kudos for self control.
The woman that he loves then betrays his trust by bailing out the man who just raped the 8 year old girl who she, as a wife, as an adult and as a step mother was supposed to protect.
The arrogant rapist then has the gall to call home to get a ride, fully expecting that someone would pick him up and bring him home to sleep safely in his bed...if not that of his little step sister.
Can you see just how deep a betrayal that was? How easy the 18 year old appeared to be getting off? How helpless the father felt, how he couldn't protect his little girl? How adding insult to injury would push a man over the top?
I could then see the father beating the shit out of the man who raped his little baby and in the heat of the moment saying "Rape my daughter will you? Now you'll know how it feels!"
The only innocent in this story was the daughter, but I can feel a level of sympathy for the father even at the same time recognizing that he needs to be punished for taking matters into his own hands.
Crap, thinking that through makes my heart hurt and my stomach churn. Excuse me while I go spew.

I heard about this on the radio the other day. It's going to be a tall order finding a jury who would sentence this guy harshly. I've read through a few forums, and even though people agree that two wrongs don't make a right, many people would have done a lot worse.
My thing is what the hell was the mother thinking when she bailed out this kid and let the stepfather pick him up??

Wow. There are some very, very seriously screwed up individuals in that family. My heart goes out to the 8 year old girl as she is the innocent one. The rest of them need to be put in a room and have the key thrown away.

Cherie - Like Dave, I loved the pun. Loved it. Cringed, but loved it.
As for this article? I'm not sure I'll go read it. I'm still making up my mind... it's... that's pretty intense. I can't begin to describe what I'd *want* to do if someone hurt my son. I don't know if I would, because my son wouldn't get much good out of a mother in jail for avenging a crime that already happened. I'd *want* to... well, I'd want to do things I probably shouldn't mention here.

Kghoti probably said it better than I could. Except it doesn't make me sick. The poor little girl and mother are the ones I'm worried about. Mostly the little girl. The mom bailed out and picked up the bastard.

Even the family math is weird. A 32 y.o. with an 18 y.o. stepson? His wife was 14 when she had a kid?
Posted by: Adam Smith | Monday, January 14, 2008 at 10:06 AM
I doubt his wife was 14 when she had the kid, the stepfather was 14 when she had the kid, obviously she is older. I wonder though if she is the mother of the girl, or if the girl has a different mother. Pretty sad all the way around, maybe he should have just sold the stepson's car.

"The rest of them need to be put in a room and have the key thrown away."
Yeah because the article states father asked the stepson to rape his daughter.

Its Texas, they'll probably give the Dad a medal.
But isn't the 18 year olds behavior just a tad weird? Whether he was guilty or not (yeah I know the stepdad 'caught him in the act' in any event as a stepbrother he would have been on the Cop's Top Ten list anyway.) WHY WOULD YOU GO HOME? To what? Your convict stepdad? You got no friends? (well probably not). You got no relatives that hate your stepdad? Don't know where a city park is?
Does TX have a Felony Stupid Law?

what do you think happens when a pedo is put in prison? he is gang raped the first night in there. that is what society gives a pedo--an old fashioned gangbang.
i can understand this guys reaction much more than i can understand that huge woman that humiliated her son for a a minor infraction.
how can you guys support a huge sentence for a minor infraction while not supporting an even bigger sentence for a major infraction? he should have just killed the guy and the wife for bailing him out.
Posted by: buddy | Monday, January 14, 2008 at 02:12 PM
if you guys would read the article a bit closer..
the wife just bailed the kid out, she did not pick him up, the stepfather did.
the step father did not rape him.. himself. he raped him with objects in the shed or whereever he took the kid to.
persoanlly, i would give the guy a slap on the shoulder for a good job.

Sterilize both of 'em. Then taser them a bit. The only victim in this is the child.
Posted by: Yucca | Monday, January 14, 2008 at 02:45 PM
I agree with Yucca, although I'm normally inclined to encourage people to allow the court system to do its thing.
Also, why on earth did the mom post bail? I'm sorry, but if my kid is in jail accused of a crime (and especially if I'm certain s/he is guilty) they'll continue to stew in jail.
