Woman arrested for spiking acquaintance's drink with Visine
She also antagonized a pit bull to attack and kill the man's dog. The tainted drink caused the guy to suffer vomiting, rectal bleeding and difficulty breathing. A police report didn't give details -- like the motivation -- on the circumstances of the poisoning. (WNBC.com | Newsday)

A chihuahua vs. a pit bull? That's not even close to being a fair fight. The chihuahua wasn't even an appetizer for the pit bull.
I think it's fair to say that this woman's got some major issues.

I like how they say she spiked his drink with Visine "without his consent" who the hell is going to say "Yeah, go ahead and put Visine in my drink, I look forward to some healthy rectal bleeding.....

Someone has been watching a little too much CSI.

Poisoned by Visine? I don't think so...
Isn't Visine essentially salt water? If it were that dangerous, wouldn't you poison yourself every time you put it in your eyes?
And how would drinking a Visine cocktail cause bleeding out the back end, anyway?

Its not the visine that causes the bleeding, its either the pit bull going in after the chihuahua, or the metal cane used to push the aforementioned in all the way.

visine contains tetrahydrozaline, which is a powerful vasoconstrictor. a few drops can induce medical problems that can be life-threatening.

it is private but still funny enough

isn't spiking someone's drink with visine what they always use in comedies to give someone the craps?
Posted by: elchampino | Dec 5, 2007 1:34:22 PM
As far as I know Visine is the basic chemical make up of human tears.(???)
I always heard that to spike someones beverage with Visine would at best cause diareah(SP).(shrug)

Visine (and other OTC eyedrops and nasal sprays) contains Tetrahydrozoline.
Ingesting this stuff causes a whole host of nasties: slowed or stopped breathing, seizures, High blood pressure followed by low blood pressure, coma, nausea, vomiting etc.
Tetrahydrozoline causes blood vessel constriction (that's why its in the eye drops.
However the rectal bleeding is noted in snopes.com (and elsewhere) as an urban legend--though what Tetrahydrozoline does to you all by itself is bad enough.

Visine gets the red out! Well, at least out of your eyes.

If the poisoning and dog killing happened in 2006, why is she being charged now? As Jim R. noted, there are big holes in the police report and news stories.

visine in drink spiking is straight from an episode of CSI Miami, I believe, i Don't remember them saying anything about rectal bleeding, but anything in this day and age is possible, deathly sick, or bleeding, who the hell cares about technicalities the bitch should be force fed visine, eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth

No reasons were given to why she did either. May have had good reasons. Two sides to every story. Sort of like "Cops" show on tv. They can do no wrong. When a criminal is lying down already, making no movement and they take flying dive with their knee between the criminal's shoulder blades while SCREAMING to lay down, roll over, put your hands behind your back, move right, back up, stoop over, kiss my boots ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Most of them need a 3 cell Everready up side their bald head, especially the little Banty rooster that announces it. I'm still mad about the idiots shooting the cows.

I drank visine in my drink one time to see what happens and nothing. nothing at all. its all lies.

I believed that someone might have place eye drops or something in my drink a few years ago. I had severe burning sensation in my stomach for weeks. They put me to sleep and placed a scope down my throat. They didn't find and ulcer but they said that my stomach lining appeared to have been irritated or scratched. No one thought about poisoning, at that time. However, I've become very cautious over the years. Please be careful, if it constricts the blood vessels in the eyes to prevent redness it could also constrict the ones in your your stomach, if ingested.
Be Safe!
To all you pranksters out there...GOD'S GONNA GET U!!!
