Men aren't ready to forgive nun who molested them decades ago
One victim, now in his 50s, says the 79-year-old nun "has given me that look she has, like the game is not over." Another says going to the courthouse for the no contest plea "is like going into a horror movie. ...She's like Dracula to me. How do you forgive something that's not human?" Well that's a switch.
I wonder what the circumstances were, though. She says she was in love with, or had been at the time. I take it the feeling wasn't mutual?

Just another example of why Christianity is evil. But then again, anyone who believes in talking snakes and cult leaders coming back from the dead while denying evolution deserves whatever pain they get.

LOL Bud, I hate religion as much as the next guy. But I don't think it's fair to label it as evil because of the actions of a love-sick nun. It's evil for much more profound reasons than one horny sister.

She kind of looks a little like Dracula. I know it's been 40 years, but something tells me she was no Debra Lafave when she molested them. It would have been much easier to forgive in that case.

It's called Child sexual molestation, being a sexual preditor, or a host of other names. THIS IS THE CATHOLIC CHURCHES OTHER DIRTY SECRET AND HAS BEEN FOR A LONG TIME!!! Do you think that priests are the only guilty ones?! Anyone who went to a catholic school knew the abusiveness of the nuns!!!

Really,, it doesn't seem like these two guys suffered a lasting torment. Did the nuns actions prevent these two from a normal life with wife and kids, or did they decide to join the gay community

"THE CATHOLIC CHURCHES OTHER DIRTY SECRET"
sorry, theres enough non catholic youth pastors guilty of the same thing. It can hardly be called a catholics only club.

Thanks BNS.
Being brought up in a Catholic school I have a ceretain love/hate relationship with da sistas. I had one that would strike fear in the hearts of the most strapping of lads. I can understand the Dracula reference.

FE, how prevalent is sexual abuse by nuns? I shouldn't think it were too common. Physical abuse, sure. Nuns are always hitting kids. But hitting ON kids?
Anon, I agree. That's why I have to wonder what the circumstances were. I mean, I can't imagine teenage boys being overly troubled by having sex with a woman. And there were multiple encounters, included at the woman's house. If the sex bothered the boys that much, why did they keep going over to her house? Was there coercion involved? I'm assuming there must have been, but we aren't told.

Isn't there some statute of limitation on these cases? It's been forty years and not like a murder was committed.
Just curious.

There are good and bad people in every profession.

" There are good and bad people in every profession."
yes, but when you figure that about ten percent of priests are RAPING CHILDREN, then your axiom becomes kind of a quibble. yes there are bad people in every profession. good observation.
but there are is a unforgivably large precentage of priests who are bad people, specifically the type of bad person who will play with your five year olds cock, and the church's neglect in the matter is nothing short of criminal.
by the way, most of the books i've read about the unfortunate status quo were by devout catholics railing against church authorities to do something about it, to no avail. this isn't merely smear campaign stuff.

I just can't figure out why there hasn't been one school shooting at a Catholic school. It would surely be a righteous event.... maybe hitting kids with rulers and molesting them kills all their desires for vengeance?

What the hell? I went to a Catholic church when I was little and I never got molested. What, I wasn't cute enough?

you've obviosly never been molested.there is no statue of limitation on the mental and emotional damage caused by these sickos...it stays with you till you die.they would have been better off if she HAD killed their bodies instead of their souls.

" There are good and bad people in every profession."
An evil nun has a hold over a person, especially a child, that, say, a shifty car mechanic will never match.
The irrationality of religious belief combined with the toxic shame -- especially toxic sexual shame -- serves to make what is ordinarily a pretty heinous act against a child even worse. The Catholic church seems most concerned with maintaining its vast business interests, hence the numerous coverups of sexual abuse by those in the clergy...and the way they moved the molesters in the clergy around, showing the elders care more about the church's public relations and continued cash flow than the welfare of children.
Regarding this cavalier remark: "It's been forty years and not like a murder was committed"...to get a sense of how sexual abuse affects a person throughout their lifetime, read "How To Cook Your Daughter," by Jessica Hendra with Blake Morrison.

I thought it was every Catholic boy's wet dream to have sex with a nun. Trouble is, once you start, it gets to be a habit. Heh heh heh.

And the Baptist get all the bad attention. Both groups are full of coo coo heads with the Catholic leading big time.
