Man drinks 5.5 ounces of Tabasco sauce in 30 seconds

He did it as a part of a sports bar's attempt to break several world records, including the most custard pies thrown in one minute. Kelly Ripa currently holds that; no joke! (Argus Leader)

I read about this yesterday and that is going to hurt like hell coming out the other end. I love hot and spicy food but walking funny for two days is not much fun either.

I want to see him making out with the hairsray drinker covered in custard.

I'd actually love to try that. I know I can drink 5.5 oz of Tabasco, but not sure how long it would take. Hot sauce doesn't usually bother me coming out the other end. It's when I eat the hot peppers with the seeds that get to me.

"The difficult part is drinking it out of the bottle," Naatjes says.

Yes, the trick is getting enough Tabasco sauce to trickle out of the restrained bottles it's packaged in. Fortunately, the Internet provides some tips on how to suck down sauce in record time.

A friend of mine tried something similar once. Once.

1. I love spicey food. Super hot, no problem.
2. I agree with G-Man about the seeds - they also irritate the system all the way down. Try to avoid 'em.
3. But drinking Tobasco sauce isn't like enjoying extreme spice in your food - seems like needless punishment.
4. OTOH, if you drink some milk afterwards it probably would soften the rude impact to the stomach.
5. Back to work (thinking about lunch already)...

(sorry! browser kept "timing out" on this - did not mean to post this several times!)

SO.... tell us what your really think.

S.O. If your browser times out do not hit the back button and hit post again. As you can see it does post the comments even if it comes up with "the page cannot be displayed" I learned this myself the hard way.

Best thing to do is open a new IE/Firefox window and view the board in that window to see if the comments did post as 99% of the time they have.

When my son was 10 he threw out the F-Bomb and I gave him a choice...what was in the teaspoon or a bar of soap. He picked the teaspoon...tabasco sauce. He handled it better than I thought, but he still remembers it. It was that last time I'm aware of that he told his little sister to F-Off.

I'd rather take the tabasco than the soap, that's for sure! Bleh!

If my mother gave me Tabasco sauce when I did something bad, I'd end up doing it more.

One of the kids I used to teach would get in trouble for talking too much in class until his father rubbed a raw habanero pepper in his mouth and on his lips with the admonition to remember that burn the next time he felt like talking when he shouldn't.

But hey--at least he didn't spank him! ;-D

You should know about such things, since you call yourself Asshole Guy:P But I agree. For me, it's not so much the going in that's the problem. Rather, it's the coming out.

OMG Habanero is EXTREMELY hot...it burns like HELL. Poor kid! I used to grow it. Learned really quickly to use gloves when I picked it. Rubbed my eye once before gloves and regretted it badly!

It must have worked--the kid was a dream to teach!

I'm gonna go for a new record myself .... the most karaoke singers thrown into a giant custard pie .. ever.

I had assumed his real talent lay in tea consumption. Bravo for branching out.

Kelly Ripa is one mean pie-throwin'-MF.

They're taking the easy route, using Tabasco. I once had an encounter with Dave's Insanity Sauce that closed my throat for a while. I could breathe, but couldn't eat. I had to put the unadulterated taco in my pocket and leave the restaurant.

Cherie, At least you didn't masturbate. Will my wife ever learn?

Posted by: Mikey | Nov 16, 2007 11:37:12 AM

Mikey...ahh why is it when I read your post I thought of women everywhere and how they could get back at their husbands by putting a little habanero sauce in the hand lotion on the nightstand.......

Posted by: Cherie | Nov 16, 2007 12:21:43 PM

Too funny! Every man wants a hot rod, right?
