Politician looked really nice during video store sexcapade

Republican State Rep. Richard Curtis, who is married and has two daughters, allegedly donned women’s clothing, red stockings and a black sequined lingerie top before engaging in a sex act with a 26-year-old man at the store. Maybe he should just pull out the old Halloween costume defense. (Vancouver, Wash. Columbian)

I'm first! Another Republican politician engaging in homosexual acts. Hypocrites.

And I'm (moderately) a Repulican.

This story just made me laugh.

He should have just given Larry Craig a call.

This is being discussed in great gross detail here:

I was a R until the moralists took over in the mid-80's.

PnwGuy,
Not generally considered in good taste to announce particpating in any sexual acts.

Still these married Bi-guys really give me hives. No one put a gun to their head and said get married. Likewise no one put a gun to their head and said ride bareback.

You want to wear mens and womens clothes and shag everyone? Show some guts! Whip out that feather boa and wear it to staff meeting. Flirt with the dishy receptionist and goose the guy who delivers soda. Only lose the mustache.

My favorite quote
"He also told police that he thought he might have been given some type of drug because his memory of the evening was hazy."

Conservative does not equal republican ... however those a-hole seem to be the only thing that's left of the party.

I hate people

Nothing wrong with bi married guys either? I don't get the repulsion to them ... stupid conservatives again

Posted by: Rofo | Oct 31, 2007 7:59:41 AM

The hypocrisy of moralizing Republicans is astounding. There's almost nothing like it in all the world.

Um...that's not toothpaste.

"Nothing wrong with bi married guys either?"

IMO --yes, And its the same thing that's wrong with habitual philanderers marrying. When you promote yourself as "bi" it means that you are not willing to committ to an exclusive arrangment with ONE other person because, gee whiz, most people are either one sex or the other and only rarely physically BOTH at the same time.

Whatever else marriage is, the exclusivity of it is explicit (granted that its perhaps more honored in the breech than in the observance).

I'm all for gay marriage and family life. After all, the rest of us managing to drudge through and keep the wheels of civilization moving. Why should they get off so easy? Sometimes I think that gay couples should be compelled to marry, raise kids, get mortgages and deal with orthodontists etc.

What gives me hives is Bi's getting up, publically promising to be exclusive, all the while knowing and even saying--"Meh. My promise is only good until the next nice package I spot"

Wow...a Republican state rep? In Washington? I figured it was against the law to be Republican in Washington, let alone elect one to the State House.

"I hate people"

Oh Rofo...a poster after my own heart...

Bobdammit-that was my post above.

nell,

bi doesnt mean running around banging anything that moves. you can enjoy the company of both men and women, and you can eventually end up in a committed relationship with one or the other.

bisexuality is your orientation, plain and simple-not your behaviors.

that being said

I LOVE GAY REPUBLICAN SCANDALSSSSSSSS

they might be my favorite thing in the world.

"Curtis...[is a]...two-term legislator and retired fire department captain..."

...where he developed a taste for turgid hoses.

Why is it always the man in the dress who is on his knees in these transvestite, man/man acts? For once I'd like to see the guy's guy on his knees in front of the guy in the dress. Just once. Is that too much to ask from our "made to order" sexual deviant sector????????

Posted by: Sherry | Oct 31, 2007 10:01:19 AM

Whoops. That was me (turgid hoses joke). I'm not anonymous. And I'm not that imposter David either.

Posted by: Dave | Oct 31, 2007 10:03:02 AM

Nell, you can be bi and in a committed relationship. I agree that you shouldn't marry someone if you're not willing to keep your commitment to that person (though the commitment may be mutually and happily agreed upon to include third parties from time to time- who is anyone else to judge?)
But there's no reason that someone who is attracted equally to both sexes can't be just as monogomous as someone who's only attracted to one sex. It's not like straight people are only attracted to one person, yet they can still be monogomous even with all those other opposite-sex folks running about to tempt them. So why not a bi person?

wow nell, i can't begin to describe how wrong that is. So if you're attracted to both sexes you will never be able to commit to a single person.

Let me attempt a bullshit analogy. I like Hondas because they're affordable, but i like BMW's because all their bikes are shaft driven instead of chain driven. Now when i buy my next honda, because i also like bmw, i won't be able to buy the honda and be perfectly happy with it? i'll be forever off sneaking out at night to get a little opposed twin action?

I think we should start a support group:
"Hi, I'm d'ep, and I hate people."
"Hi d'ep!"

Right on, spacey and pirate wench! Why all the hating on the bis, Nell?

Posted by: d'ep | Oct 31, 2007 10:16:03 AM

also, nell, i'm a straight man who loves women... just love em, skinny, plump, short, tall, i just can't get over how great women are.

By your logic since i love women, how could i commit to just one? there are OTHER women out there i'm attracted to.

Posted by: boynamedsue | Oct 31, 2007 10:17:02 AM

Yes, what I find troubling is not that he's bi, but that he's being deceitful and unfaithful to his wife. And having unprotected sex on top of it, putting her at risk. Can you imagine how furious she must be?
