Girl in prom dress and combat boots chases down thieves

Hell, her actions -- and garb -- make me want to delete the story below. (Marin Independent Journal)

"The big difference from the old television show was that Karl Malden and Michael Douglas never wore a prom dress, tiara and combat boots."

Well, not on camera anyway.

Huh, kind of reminds me of an Earth Day twist on the Drag Races in Dupont Circle, DC -they are EXACTLY what they sound like: people in drag (and often heels) running races in the Circle, often for fun and sometimes charity.

why do articles like this not have a picture?

Posted by: T | Apr 26, 2007 11:06:34 AM

Seriously, where's a picture?

"The whole city was cheering her on. She kept up with the guy when nobody else could."

Wow, that's a sad comment. A teenager in a (assumedly) tight prom dress and combat boots was the only one who could keep up with this guy? Where were the healthy San Franciscans?

The "healthy" sanfrans were saving their strength for the next monthly bike mob.

/This girl rocks!

You go, girl!

this story is SO better than the accountant in the suit one! :D

Posted by: princessalex | Apr 26, 2007 11:59:58 AM

the accountant story had a rather misleading picture.

Posted by: V | Apr 26, 2007 12:44:31 PM

This is no ordinary girl, she is The Toxic Avenger.

Posted by: | Apr 26, 2007 12:54:20 PM

anon,

heh! it's better than the "pms avenger."

Posted by: princessalex | Apr 26, 2007 1:03:38 PM

Is it, princess? Toxic vs. PMS-I'm thinking they're about even :D

Posted by: V | Apr 26, 2007 1:05:27 PM

Know why it's called PMS?

And yes... I know I'm treading verrrrry thin ice with this one...

Posted by: DT | Apr 26, 2007 1:09:16 PM

Okay, I'll bite-but be warned, sometimes I can bite hard, so tread carefully....

Posted by: V | Apr 26, 2007 1:23:47 PM

Why?

Posted by: V | Apr 26, 2007 1:24:13 PM

Because 'Mad Cow Disease' was already taken...

/ducks and dodges

:D

Posted by: DT | Apr 26, 2007 1:40:51 PM

What, no liberal-haters showing up to put the smack down on this pussified hippy girl? Hehehe..

Posted by: Sean, Torrington CT | Apr 26, 2007 1:47:17 PM

Mad Cow --hahaha. Anyone remember the cartoon "cow and chicken"? According to the Chinese zodiac, I'm a bull and Mister is a rooster--cow and chicken. So of course, whenever I get my knickers in a twist, he pulls out the Mad Cow comments.

That's right-I have a deadly aim with cyber-plateware!

~sound of china smashing into a wall, but missing DT entirely~

Naw, actually, I found that pretty funny :D Guess I'm high on lack of sleep again.

Posted by: V | Apr 26, 2007 1:52:26 PM

I wonder if she was wearing one of those barely-there prom dresses?

Posted by: Sigh | Apr 26, 2007 2:19:45 PM

GI Jane meets Carrie.
