Michelle Branch stalker arrested at Wisconsin concert
Dominick Giordano, 32, of Maryland has been following Michelle Branch to concerts around the country since May 2003 and regularly sends her letters and even videos. While introducing her final song, "Michelle Branch just said, 'Wait a second. There's a guy in the audience -- striped shirt and glasses -- can somebody check him out?'" said Cali Haas, 20, who was among the approximately 500 people at the concert. "It left everyone just so confused, like, is this a joke, part of the show?" (Sheboygan Press)

Michelle Branch? C'mon dude! At least pick somebody good to stalk!

Hey, she is pretty hot, and she's somewhat under the radar, which means it would be easier to get away with this for a longer period. Somebody tries to stalk, say Nicole Kidman, they'd get barbequed after the first attempt.
Sorry, it just came out that way...

I have to go with V here - stalking Michelle branch is an attainable goal. Too many people want to start at the top without putting in their time in the minor leagues.

Find his stripey scarf in this picture and win a prize!
minor leagues...nice one :D

I'd hit it. But she's got a kid and a spouse so that tends to make things teh suck. Stalking a C level celeb is one thing, but being a homewrecker is another.

After posting bond, Dominick Giordano, returned to his vintage VW bus muttering how unappreciated Brancheads are.

Well, the stalker was from Maryland, though.

Okay, somebody tell me....who in the heck is Michelle Branch? Should I know her? Maybe I should go Google her.
Posted by: Michelle | Mar 29, 2007 12:21:52 PM
Okay, I looked her up and I still don't know who she is. Although according to WikiPedia she is very popular in the Philippines. HMMM...was her stalker Filipino?

I only know her because she did that song with Carlos Santana, the Game of Love, which radio stations were playing nonstop about a year ago.

Yup, I recognized the photo I found on Google, but she's only had one or two really popular songs.

Michelle, I'm so glad to know I wasn't the only one scratching my head and wondering who the heck Michelle Branch is. I mean, I realize World of Warcraft is slowly obliterating my awareness of current events but still.

Ahhhh! WOW junkie in the house! I never got into WoW, but mainly it's because I know myself: I'm working, in grad school full time, and curently planning a wedding. If I started playing WoW, I'd probably need an intervention to pry me away from the computer.

Warcrack. Truly. But very fortunately I'm have a modest level of self control. You are wise to stay clear of it with all you have going on though. There's plenty of play time later.

I'm have? Sorry. I slipped into an Orcish sentence structure.

~snicker~ see, it leeches into waking life :D I'm supposed to be at work right now AND writing my capstone (read: we don't write a thesis, just a 35 page mini-thesis) first draft right now. You can see how much control I've got going at the moment :D
We are doing a 17th c Italian ren. style theme for the wedding clothes, though, it's gonna ROCK!

How does a discussion on Michelle Branch dive into a discussion of WoW. Another sign that the apocolypse is upon us.
A fellow gamer

Anything can turn into a discussion of ANYTHING. True fact. That's why this is so much fun!

um, V, the Spam Museum is in Austin Mn.

These discussions normally devolve into discussions of inappropriate behavior with animals. I was pretty proud of taking the high road on this one. :D
Posted by: DT | Mar 29, 2007 2:33:21 PM
Aw, darn...I was trying to remember if it was MN or WI. Aw, well, it still serves the point, considering how many odd things happen in MN as well :D
Inappropriate animal jokes...how 'bout this: "Bats Gone Wild in Cancun!!!"
Think on it :D

an obscure singer, an obscure stalker, an obscure state. anyone surprised? ok, so Wisconsin isn't completely obscure. people do remember it when the Packers play (no, i'm not into football). where the heck did this story come from. there have been more interesting ones in the news. i'm beginning to feel a little stifled.
(foot stomp) ENTERTAIN ME, NOW!
