Teen who lost student council race is elected mayor
Michael Sessions started campaigning for mayor a month ago. He spent $700 he earned selling caramel apples and other snacks over the summer to pay for business cards and lawn signs. The 18-year-old ended up beating the incumbent, 732 to 668. (Detroit News)
